Hello! My name is DaSlayer (not my real name obviously) and I am a collector of american coins. After reading about how Canada is withdrawing the penny. I decided to go through my entire coin collection and found only 16 Canadian coins! There was: 6 quarters, 1 dime, 3 nickels and 6 pennies.
Quarter- 2011, 2008, 2006, 1980, 1974 and 1955 Dime- 2010 Nickel- 2004, 1998 and 1983 Penny- 1989, 1986, 1976, 1974, 1965 and 1950
The 1950 penny has King George VI on it which I found interesting!
I thought that was a small number and I wanted to enlarge my Canadian collection. I don't live any were near Canada (more than 2,000 miles) so it's hard for my to get Canadian coins. Does anyone know where I could get them? I'm trying to find pennies since Canada withdrew them.
As I get more coins I will post some pictures. Edited by DaSlayer 04/05/2015 10:40 am

Welcome to the Canadian pages! Your 1955 quarter is silver to start off. What year range are you looking for in pennies? I'm certain I can mail you a base set at no charge. Just PM me your mailing address. You might want to look at the flag on the 2011 Dime there is a flag variation to them. I've found clashes on the 1998 nickles.

Canadian coins are very common in Michigan where I live. I myself am about 150 miles from Ontario, Canada. I am a cashier and I bust open rolls all the time and I always see lots of Canadian coins.

many U.S. coin dealers will even sell their canadian coins for 50-80% of face value...
But if that's not of use to you .. once you get post # up you can put up a want buy/trade list....

The rules.
Post count requirements is not just the number, but the measurement of quality behind those posts.

Your branch bank should be able to order you some Canadian notes. Maybe even coins. As mine does with over 25+ countries. If you have a TD Bank in your area. They should be able to order you some coins as they are the Toronto Dominion Bank of Canada.
