i would venture to say somewhere between EF and AU. I am not good enough to tell the differences in wear between those two yet. Still nice details on the right leg on the reverse...but worn some. I'd go with somewhere in the EF-48 to AU-52 range.

I love these threads as they give me a great learning experience.

Nice walker by the way.

I'll go as high as EF. I can't take it any higher than that with the wear on the leg and on the eagle's breast.

I can't remember if the Denver coins from the '30s were known for strike weakness like many of the San Francisco issues. Liberty's head seems weakly struck although there is thumb separation on her left hand. Detail is lacking down the obverse center line and to a lesser degree along the eagle's breast and left leg. These are the areas that are soft on weakly-struck coins. Of course, these areas also show wear if the coin is circulated! This coin does appear to have quite a bit of luster.

I'm wondering if this is actually a mint-state coin with a weak strike. If so, the strike would limit it to MS-64 maximum, more likely MS-62. If the lack of detail is due to wear I'd put it at AU-50 to AU-55.

Just my Two Cents, 50cents!

Jaobler, the 35D is one of the most weakly stuck Walkers in the series.

The 35S is a dipped AU55. The obverse strike is weak in the head area but the hand is strong, wear on the high points. On the reverse, the eagle has wear on the breast. I think it would slab at 55 maybe 58 on a good day.
