3 boxes of halves.

1 proof, a holed, a Struck Through Grease, and 2 NIFC.

I have 3 more boxes sitting here, one with a 40% ender showing but I am burned out this week and will save those for the morning.

3 boxes today.

3 NIFC, 1982 no FG, 1982 no FG with polished off seriff 1, a 1964, and 7 40%ers.

The box with the ender had 5 40%ers.

Thanks Chuckster

I could not help it - finding that one 72 DDO FS101 had me excited.

So I went through another box that was sitting there taunting me.

OK guys...

I have always wanted to delve into Chaos Math.

Can someone explain to me how it took over 120 boxes and 7000 individual 1972 JFKs before I found my first 72 DDO,
and yet I got another 1972 DDO FS 101 tonight after sifting through the next 160 1972s?

BTW

Pics later - I have a hard enough time justifying tearing myself away from working on my book to roll search let alone set up the camera to get spme good pics! Now back to work on the book (yeah right - I've one more box to go!)

That's the way it goes!

I've found 2 in the same box already.

CONGRATS again on the second one.

Thanks guys...

So I gave in to my numismatic nature and could not work on the book more until I did the last box that was sitting there.

Boy am I glad I did! It even made me get the camera out and take pics. So I got a bunch of pics from other finds I have made also.

The two recent 1972 DDOs were amazing - but talk about icing on the cake...

I sat there for at least half a minute just staring into the microscope and was waiting to wake up from the dream. I got one I never expected to find since generally I see only one or two of this date/MM in a box - if that.

When these show up on ebay, they generally go for a pretty decent price...

SHHHH! I might wake up!

So, here are some pics of some of the other finds - a set of pics from the second 72 DDO did not come out right, but here is a pic of the first

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

Here is one of several die clashes (dates 94, 83, and 71D) - two of the 83s are as nice as the following (and so is the other 71-D):

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

Other finds:
two 72 D no FGs; 73D RPM; 71D - 3 possible RPM - will post pics in the help section sometime to let people who know more than I do tell me or not; two 84 D RPMs; two 83 No FGs; three 83 M.A.D.s; two 71-D M.A.D.s; 2001 D M.A.D.; and three (one poor shape) 94 die clash having spikes off of JFKs nose and on the REV the eagle must be molting b/c there is an extra raised device under his tail feathers:

Had more pics - but after loading they do not show up?

These pics were deleted.
1981 Cud
1977D No F in FG (listed)
1973 D no F in FG
These last two have absolutely no trace of an F

OK possibly no more rolls for awhile now...

But what a ride its been

4 boxes of beat to crap junk today.

Another Jims coins electric engraver, 2 proofs (1 ender), a few NIFC, an obverse planchet flaw, and while turning 2 blocks away from home I saw a socket in the street. I told myself "Hey, it might be a Snap On or a Mac or I'd even settle for a Matco or Cornwall." No such luck.

At the least the guy in Norway that I traded my Rolex Datejust case and dial to that I had paid $150 for 10 years ago got it today so I can finally wear the 3 month old Seiko Orange Sumo on bracelet ($500+ value) he traded me since the deal is done.

6 box total from yesterday and today: 8, all 40%.

1-1972P DDO- not sure if this one is the 72P DDO-001 listed on Coneca and in the Cherrypickers Guide- 5th Edition Vol 2, pg320.

The doubling on this coin, especially on the I in "IN", appears to be different and there is a die-crack/break? by the T in LIBERTY that's not on any 72P DDO-001's that I have.

I've sent an E mail to DR Wiles along with pics for his expertise/ opinion and possible submission for attribution etc.

Here are the pics- opinions also welcomed, especially if anyone also has a 72P 1 DO-001-

Mind checking your coin/coins for the doubling/marker omparisons also.

Thanks,

Chuck.

Thought I'd stop by the bank today and ask for any halves. (This is the same bank I scored a 1970-D from) They had $22 worth; $2 and $20 in rolls. On the way to the car I took a quick peek and saw a 2006 NIFC halve on top. I could feel the excitement building, but I held off until I could get home to search them on a table. Upon searching I ended up with 5 proofs in perfect condition and 2 NIFC halves uncirculated.

1976-S x3
1977-S
1996-S

2006-P
2006-D

Sounds like someone cashed in a collection of something. Maybe I should hit this bank more often, though. The last two times I've picked up halves from this bank, I've scored something.
