So had some time on my hands tonight, and decided to document my box plus a few rolls I got. Below are my results. I have no need to weigh to .01g and for $12 it works fine for what I need it to do. I couldnt' wait for your answer so went and got one and a free 27 LED worklamp thing. found out the skinny 2000 P I have are just skiny and all @11 grams. seems to do well enough with cents @ 3.1 and @ 2.5/2.6 so will be searching a bucket of 1982 to morrow and divide the coppers from the zincolns. also got the other scale that does 11 pounds max there so if I get another box of halves I will do your thing and weigh a roll if it feels a bit different and save it for last ones. who am I kidding, I wanted a digital kitchen scale and used my CRH for an excuse to get the bigger scale.

4 boxes today, boxes 1 and 2 yielded me some silver and box 3 and 4 were skunks, I pulled 2 from box 1 a 66 and 67, and box 2 I pulled 1-64D, 5-67 and 1-68. Also pulled 2 77S clad proofs, 1-gold plated counterstamped, 8-NIFC and an 81 that weighs 10.4 grams missing the clad layer. The proofs are in fair to poor I guess. I will be picking up 8 boxes tomorrow., Happy Hunting everyone remember "LOVE THE HUNT"!

After months of a dry spell and having never gotten silver in a box of halves, I finally hit silver! I actually quit searching boxes of halves. I must have gone through 15 boxes and never found any silver. My teller ordered me three boxes even though she knows I quit boxes and would only get CWRs from her. But, I felt bad that she went through the trouble of getting the boxes, so I picked one up today. Glad I did! 3 40%ers 1 1971 Proof And about 10 other keepers. Looks like someone dumped their collection of 1986 AU/BU.

What the heck is going on with half dollars! Dang! Found these about 5 rolls into the second of three boxes my teller friend got for me! I'm hoping it's a continuation of the same lot from last night's box.

Proofs are always nice finds. Personally, I like them more than silver.

Very nice! I think someone inherited or stole a roll of proof half dollars. No knowing what they had, they cashed them in.
