JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Seems you all spend $500- $1000 to get your silvers. I wish I could do that. I get my silver asking for loose half dollars they have, and exchange on the spot. I find this way more rewarding.

Its all about the numbers, and timing, even the area one may live in. I am searching 12 boxes a week and I haven't hit the 12 skunks in a row as of yet. I believe that will happen its just a matter of time. Dry spells are a part of this process. I cracked my last 4 boxes for the week and only pulled 2-40%ers a 67 and 68. box 2 and 4 were skunks. Did pull 2 more 74D DDO, and 82S Clad Proof. There is a nice 87D so I kept it. Also 6-NIFC and 3-holed coins. It was a good week 2-90%ers and 21-40%ers. Hope everyone else has a good week, don't give up persistence will pay off.

Had a wonderful Friday

First one of my Friday BMO dump banks told me they were going to start charging me to dump.

Then I go and pick up my 4 boxes from a different BMO branch and open one of them up and it is short 5 rolls and a 6th roll is broken off at the end and has maybe $8 in it.

You have to grin and bear it. Thank you sir may I have another.

I went to my pickup bank once with 4 rolls of S & S wraps all different heights due to different shortages.

The Teller told me who was cool with me told me unfortunately that is how it works.

One time I went to dump and had 2 boxes and left 30 rolls / $300 still wrapped and when I went to dump they said $680.

I called BS but they said they recounted he next day and were dead on.

After getting shorted a year later I guess I was shorted on the supply end not the dump end.

And recently I was shorted 4 rolls at Chase.

I called and got $40 credited to my account since they know me.

I was shorted 2 rolls 2 months ago from the Chase and they said they head teller would investigate. Still waiting on my $20 credit.

I guess you either have to call the bank out and get them to credit you back and then get them to tell you no more boxes because of the risk or you have to bend over and take it like when the coin counter shorts you when dumping.

Im getting 1000 tomorrow. First time in like 4 months...

Hi everyone, just signed up, been reading. here is my report. I have got a total of 5 boxes. 4 had no silver, 4 NIFC. Box 5 was the jack pot, for me any way, 6 - 90% , 7 - 40% (1 was 76 ), 1 clad proof, and 9 NIFC. As far as I know I am the only one at this bank
