Coin show today, I will try to stay a little while, but pain from hip may control that. Only been 9 days since went under knife, doing well. The show is in Millsboro, Delaware. On route 24, at the AL, stop bye. Remember..... " A coin is only worth what someone will pay for it !!" Good luck everyone

I Finished boxes 11 and 12. Box 11 had a 90% (64) , 3 40% (66,66,67) and 7 NIFC. Box 12 had 3 40% (67,68d,68d) and 4 NIFC. That is 20 90% and 32 40% in my first 12 boxes. Have 4 more boxes on Thursday. Will keep you updated.

Seriously don't know how you guys get so much! Today I decided to pick up my second batch of half dollars ever. I got $750 worth from one of the local banks around where I live. I came home and started opening the rolls; the first $250 only produced 2 NIFC halves: 2002, 2007. The last $500 produced 1 1967 40%er!
But what was really aggravating was that I was shorted $4.50. 9 of the 75 half dollar rolls had pennies or quarters replacing one half dollar per roll. After searching all the rolls, I called the bank and said that I was short. They were really understanding, but I told them I was concerned because if I was short that means their vaults were short (the rolls came from the Feds). Has anyone else had that problem?

Other than foreign junk in a roll I have only found a quarter in the middle of a roll once and a cent a and a loose half sitting on top of a roll in a box.
I have been shorted coins from Loomis and S & S rolls and I have had sealed boxes that only had 45 rolls in it.

The rolls I got were from N.F String and Son. I've never heard of them, but they make coin machines and apparently either distribute half dollar coins, or provide half dollar distributors with cardboard boxes with "N.F String and Son Distribution Co." written on the boxes. Boxes are yellow. Has anyone else come in contact with these types of boxes?

S & S makes makes and wrappers for banks and other money vendors to use to roll coin.
When I first started all I got was S & S boxes. Then it was an equal mix of S & S and Loomis. For the last 2 years it had mostly been Loomis with an occasion spell of S & S and I even had 1 pickup where I got 4 Brinks boxes.
Every brand of bank around here gets their boxes from the same source (I am guessing Loomis) regardless of the carrier.
Chase uses Garda and BMO uses Loomis. I went and set up an account at Northshore Bank because I regularly saw a Brinks truck outside and they had Loomis boxes. When Chase has an unusual spell of S & S boxes BMO will that week as well.
This is why trying to dump at one brand and pick up at another brand bank does not work.
