I asked previously but no one has answered, anyone think that the NIFC will be worth anything in the years to come? I'm not exactly rich so holding onto the many I have is kinda a burden. Could you let me know please thank you :)

Keep one of each year and mint for your set and dump the rest.
I had accumulated $1000 worth of them from roll hunting and had to spend them because they were sucking up too much of my roll hunting fund.

Naburt, you might be able to trade a roll or two for some 40% silver, I know there are folks out there looking for NIFC's and are willing to trade.

I got 33 in halves for the bank and found 2 1968's, 1 1966 and 1 1964. So I was extremely happy with my $13.76 windfall.

Busted open 4 boxes today 1 was a skunk, ended up pulling 2-90%ers and 17-40%eers, and some other fun coins. Here is the breakdown, 2-64D, 4-66, 8-67, 5-68, 1-47D DDO, 1-72 N0 FG, 1-Magic Coin, 2-Clad Proofs, 76S and 83S, 3-NIFC's and 2-holed. Good start to the week. Enjoy the pics, hope you all are having luck. Remember "LOVE THE HUNT!"

It has generally been a miserable year for me getting halves out of banks. Took some money out of savings at the credit union today, and the cashier asked me if I wanted any half dollars. I agreed to take what they had. She called over a cashier from another part of the bank, and told me how they were hoping I would come by and get the halves that had come in. The other cashier brought out $12 face, and thanked me for taking them.
I could see the glint of silver as the other cashier brought them out, and it was all I could do to keep from snatching them out of my cashier's hand as she counted them out.
2x66; 8x67; 6x68D; 2x69D. Almost a complete roll of 40% from $12. And they had to ask me if I wanted them.

Crack 4-boxes today 2-skunks, 1-box had 4-90%ers and 1-box had 2-40%ers, also pulled 4-NIFC's. 1-42D Walker, and 3-Franklins, 1-50, 1-52D and 1-63D, and 1 beat up 96S clad proof. Will be picking up 4-boxes tomorrow. Wish me luck! WTG Arkie, its awesome to walk into a bank and get all silver from a teller. Remember "LOVE THE HUNT!"

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I last posted.
7 years ago this week, I started this thread and I never dreamed it would become this big. Almost 1 million views, 1163 pages, 17,440+ entries.
I think the thread has actually caused a nationwide search for silver in halves, leading to so many skunk boxes today. Keep searching. The silver is still out there. Just be patient and persevere!

This is my summary for 2014. I usually post throughout the year when I find something but just haven't had time. Almost ALL of my silver has been found in the last week. I had a completely dry 2013 so it was looking like a repeat dry. Then I struck silver in the last week. I also found a very rare 71D DDO- doubling in TRUST, much like the much better known 74D DDO. I only this year started looking for varieties other than 74D DDO. The varieties are out there too. ON the next post, I will share my summaries from 2009-2013. 2014 JFK roll searching --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2014 totals Total searched: 2168 coins ($1084.00) customer loose/rolled 40% silver: 18 (0.83%) 90% silver: 4 (58D & 62D Franklin, 64Dx2) NIFC: 8 (87P, 01Px6, 06P) Proof: 0 Other: 71D DDO (RARE), 74D DDO
