nice pickup there! I got a 42, a 42, a 64, and a 67 out of 2 boxes today. Always nice to find something decent.

Awesome box, SilverRosie!

I've been having a good week, too!

I went to an estate sale yesterday, and there was 3 uncirculated sets
for sale, 78p&d, and 79d, marked at $6 each.

I looked it up for price and my phone, and after some exchange, was able to get all 3 sets for $6!

I decided to cut them up and use them as hole fillers, for such a cheap price!

I may start doing that and just get some spotless book collections!

Fromms2244, There are a bunch of those around, someone had the idea to gold plate Halves and Make a 20 year anniversary coin of Kennedy becoming president and sold a bunch of them. There is a sucker born everyday. Capitalism at its best. , I believe people paid at least $9.99 for one of these halves, which are worth .50 today. They did it again in 1985 too. I wonder how much money they made? Here are a few I have pulled, 250,000 coins searched and pulled 7. Not sure why I am keeping them.

1 roll had 3 40%ers. The other 199 rolls were junk.

@Domain555:

What I meant was, I searched the Ike's right there at the bank, about $40 worth, and there was nothing good there, nothing worth keeping, that I didn't already have.

I love Ike's! Wish I could search the bags of Ike's, but no one around here will order them for me.

Domain555 sorry to take so long to get back, I reroll right away and I have 5 different branches I rotate through, so I dump at one roughly once a month and when I bring them rolled in the $500 box they don't mind, it's easy for them to ship out because they don't sit on boxes half dollars. I just keep recycling the same $500, and buy a couple of rolls to use for when I do find coins I want to keep.

Jack, nice finds with the 3 Walkers. Your previous post of one roll containing 3-40%'ers and the remaining rolls being skunk is an amazing example of the unpredictability of our hobby.

My bank forgot once again to order two boxes for me last week. Amazing. It's been about 3 weeks; I drop in once a week and talk to a teller (the vault teller twice) and ask for them to order boxes. Ok, no problem, come back Friday and we'll have them. But when I come back the following Friday there is always some excuse about why they didn't get them.

Pretty frustrating to say the least. But I smile, thank them for placing the order again and I'll come back next week.

jdk, you may want to find out what day they place the order, and touch base with them on the morning of. My places usually order around 10, so I would make sure to call around 9 if I wanted to place an order that day. Helps them to not forget.

just pulled a 64 and 7 40s out of 2 boxes.
