Hey Jack I have two missing the reverse, do you have two reverses by any chance? Carloscoria, if you look at the reverse of the half and its rotated most likely its a magic coin, and it sounds completely different than a real half. YINZI50 I have just looked a several pics of 77D DDO and I can't even see it on the pics from google search. Do you have a good pic of one? The 74D DDO is very obvious.

Jack, that box was amazing, I remember reading it also.
Question for you, Arby, and the other hunters dumping many boxes a week: how many banks do you spread out to?
Do you get that many boxes without paying a fee?
I get 2 boxes on a good week (no fee yet) which means I hit 4 dump banks with about $250 worth per dump. On average probably 1 of 4 will fill a machine bag and a teller will have to come and swap out the bags. Usually they will find a quarter or penny bag also full that they have to empty.
I'm curious to hear the logistics of such large numbers of coins!

@Arby96. 77D DDO is very obvious too. You may have to use a loupe though. Here is a picture from NGC website. I found 71d-DDO, 72-DDO, 73d-DDO, plenty of 74d-DDO but not a single 77d-DDO before I moved away from the D district to East Coast.

Yinzi50 Thanks for that pic, I use a lighted desk magnifying glass when I search, Will be searching for these now. This is a good example of why I should read more. I get mostly D coins here in New Mexico. JDK350, I purchase from three different locations and dump at two of them. I have never paid for a box of halves as of yet. I live in a small town, the two I deal with are credit unions and they work with me very well only order from one of them since they come from the same fed location. The two banks order from me only one has a coin machine and they would prefer I didn't dump there, they have to hand roll all the coins and then dump them back into a bag to ensure the numbers are right, they might be feeding me a line but I want to keep them happy. One bank will only take rolled coins and if I started taking rolled coins back to them I believe they would make it very difficult for me. I think living in a small town and its friendly environment is good. So far I am the only major purchaser of halves here and I keep my banks happy, every six months I have brought them a treat for the tellers. So far so good.

I've only looked through 4 boxes so far: the first was awesome (2 90% 1964s, 10 40%) 2 and 3 were skunked for silver, but resulted in plenty of NIFC. Box 4 gave some NIFC and replacements, and a 1968-D that broke the skunk streak I was convinced would last for dozens of boxes. I haven't found a proof yet. That is my next hope.

Went and opened another bank account today at a bank I was in last week. On last weeks visit I saw a coin counter that was free to customers. Opened the account for $100. and dumped $1240. worth of halves on them today. I also dumped $510. at another bank and spent $90. worth at the gas station and grocery store. I told the lady that opened the savings account that I'd be using the coin machine a lot since I roll search, she said that's what it's there for and they had several others that did the same thing. I'll keep adding a little to the account from time to time to try to keep them happy. If they ever say anything about the high usage of the machine I'll close the account and find another dump bank. Worst thing about the bank that I opened the account at today is it's about a 35 mile drive each way just to dump coins. I'll try to only have to make one trip per week. One of my banks got their delivery today, but I wasn't able to get there today. Another one gets their delivery tomorrow and another get theirs Thursday, so I should have $3000. worth of halves in the next couple days. These are small town banks and I'm not asking each of them to order lots of boxes for fear they'll cut me off. I'm a bit anxious to see what I get from one of the banks, last time in 2 boxes from that bank I got (150) 40% and (24) 90%. Everyone wish me luck. If I have another good hit from that bank I'm going to go to another branch of the same bank and ask them to order me a couple boxes next week.

Cracked 4 boxes today all skunks for silver, I did pull 4-74D DDO's, 1-93S Clad Proof, 8-NIFC, 1-82 MEDIO-BALBOA, 4-holed coins and 8-1980D GEMS, still surprises me one can pull such nice coins that old. They look really good for 35 years old. "LOVE THE HUNT!"

I went on a short vacation out of state with my wife. I checked out some banks near our hotel one day. I found one machine wrapped roll, with a '67 on one end! We stopped in a small town to get gas on the way back, and found a bank next door. There was only one 40% out of them all, a 1968. I did manage to find four '74-D DDO's, also.

I picked up two boxes this afternoon from my regular bank that's been getting them for me ever since Nov. and both were skunks. No silver, no, proofs, no NIFC. The other bank that was supposed to get me 2 boxes yesterday screwed me again and got another dump bag from one of their other branches, two weeks in row this has happened. Looks like they are about to become another dump bank!

One box a couple nights ago - total skunk. Not even an NIFC.
It did have quite a few gems and one holed coin.
Picked up two boxes last night, hope to get through them over the weekend. Slim pickings around here.
