Both my banks forgot to order last week so I'm hoping for 4 boxes tomorrow and 2 more Thursday. Will keep everyone posted on what I find. Got a great deal on ebay over the weekend, a 1964-2017 Dansco album. It was listed as used, but the pictures looked like it was in very good condition. I got it yesterday and it looks brand new. Purchase price $15. including USPS priority shipping. Now I'm working on finding my nicest coins to go in the Dansco. I'll be able to fill all the holes through 2014 except the 1964D and 1970D. Would be nice to get one or both of these this week!! I think I've found about (10) 1964's since I started roll searching about 5 months ago, but none have had the D mint mark.

The first four boxes for the week 3 skunks and only one 67. I received a phone call from one of the banks I deal with and they called to inform me they forgot to order for me this week, and ensured me they would have my order next week, I asked them if they could order for Tuesday and Thursday and they said sure. We will see. So this week I will be 4 boxes short. On my way to make a dump and pick up my last 4 boxes for the week. Hoping to score something. Wishing you all the best! May you all find lots of shinny white metal.

Thanks Arby, I am calling my local Bank for a bag of halves that has been "Almost full" for 3 weeks. I do not want to miss out on that bag. I have a good feeling about this one. They charge 6% for customers and 10% for non customers that is why I think its going to have some goodies in it.

Quote: rcook so the bank gave him rolls with your info on them......that doesn't sound kosher I guess so. This was the first time I'd used this bank as a dump, the first teller said I needed to put my name and account number on the rolls. This account was opened specifically to use them as a dump bank. I told her I wasn't putting my account number on them not knowing where they might end up, so then she said name and phone number so they would know where they came from if they came up short. Now if they come up short I'll inform them that I know at least part of them left the bank before being audited by the fed. Edit: Now that I think about it I wonder if this may be in violation of federal privacy laws? Got another disappointment today, my best teller forgot to order again this week, but she asked me if I wanted her to order a BUNCH for next week. She said she had them on her order list just failed to place the order. I truly believe she forgot both last week and this week, because she was very apologetic both weeks and she's told me several times ordering them is no problem for her. I told her yes, so I don't know how many she'll get me next week but normally she gets me 4 boxes a week, so I'm expecting she'll probably order at least $4-5K worth. Once when I was only asking for $1K per week she over ordered and got $3K worth. Hopefully my other bank will come through with $1K worth tomorrow.

@RCook I owed Home Depot $4K on 12 months free financing. I paid them $400 in halves in store once a month to pay it off. I used to reuse the paper Loomis and S & S wraps when I dropped off the payment. One week I got a sealed box from the bank in a Loomis outer box and it was a mix of S & S and Loomis cracked and retaped wraps and one roll had my full name and account number written on one roll not in my own handwriting and it took me a while to figure out if the devil was calling me out or what earthly explanation there was. I guess someone at Home Depot opened each roll to make sure the count was right and then retaped them shut and the carrier they use to pick up cash and coin weekly form them for deposit took their word the count was legit. From that day forward they got dumped on a big ole ziplock bag of loose halves. If only I had known about the spend dollars and halves thread we would be $4K closer to the end at this point. Menards and Sears, Roebuck & Co have also fallen victim to 0% financing credit card payments by bags of halves and dollar coins

So I called the CU that had "The almost full bag of halves" and they put on hold to check if it was full and .................................................................................................................... "Sorry we are currently training the new teller, what she though was the almost full bag of halves were actually 1 dollar coins, sorry about that, we do have a bag of dimes if you want that"
I took the bag of dimes.

"Back on the Skunk Train", four boxes this morning, Last search for the week and all skunks. I did pull 83P No FG, I don't think its a real error as they put it. Also got a 74S Clad Proof, and 7-NCIF 05's. I long for the day I open a box and see endless silver enders of Walkers, Franklin's and Kennedy's. Oh What a awesome day that will be. The wonderful feeling of joy seeing that beautiful precious metal and knowing its going to be a great day. "LOVE THE HUNT!"

Hi all I usually do not post anymore, some members in my area were catching on to what Banks I use and my banks were letting me know other people wanted the same relationship. I still get $3K weekly and all the coin maching change from 1 bank. Not many half dollar bags, but if someone else is calling about the bag. They may state it is almost full but when it gets full, I am assured they call me and I pick it up. Usually 4-5 40%.
Lately the Silver is drying up with the boxes but I received 5 skunked boxes and 1 box with 6 40%ers. It can be frustrating but if it was easy everyone would be doing it.
Nice to hear of the stories and keep them coming, I love to see the posts. There are alot of hunters in my area (12) that I know of, so hunting is hard.
Take care guys and have fun!! Arby I know your day will come again, you have some amazing posts, so I know it is just a matter of time.

I am going to join this thread. I ordered 2 boxes of Half Dollars and should receive them Friday. I have been reading everything I can about these coins. Mostly about the Kennedy half dollar coins. I will be posting what I find.

As much as I love this website, it piques the interest in roll hunting halves in many people (I'm not trying to single out anyone; I mean no offense E6). The piqued interest leads to increased competition, which can be frustrating to a person who has established themselves with certain banks in an area and built relationships that can be adversely affected by newcomers who may not show as much respect as they should for the hobby. It is a free country, so by all means partake, but please be polite about it.

@ jack jeckel Lately I've been re-rolling all of my halves and using part of them in everyday purchases at department stores, grocery stores, auto parts stores, etc. to help reduce dumps on banks. The everyday purchases don't amount to a lot, but does reduce the size of the dumps a little. I don't have any large monthly bills that I can pay locally, so for things like c/c I use my checking account. I also dumped $2500. on the bank I have my checking account with a few weeks ago. I've been banking with them for probably 30+ years with some reasonably large account balances and they refuse to order halves for me. It's very likely when some of my CD's and IRA's with them mature they will be moved to another bank that's willing to help me out, in the meantime I'll use them as one of my dump banks. I just called my other bank to see if my halves came in or not. She'd forgot to order the last 2 or 3 weeks, but this week she got them , so at least I'll have a few to search this week, wish me LUCK!!
