Picked up 6 boxes yesterday afternoon. I've been through 3 of them thus far. No silver, a 2003 proof, and (15) 2002-date NIFC. I'm currently on a 6 box silver skunk, hoping my luck changes on these other three boxes. The bank chain I opened an account with earlier this week told me today dumping was no problem. They said all they had to do was dump the rolls in bags to ship it out. I told them if they would give me the bags I'd save them the trouble with the next dump, so they gave me 10 bags to bring home and use for future dumps . This should make transactions much quicker, just take the bags in and get my cash. I don't expect the same problem with this bank as the one I just closed the account with a few days ago, because even before I was an account holder they'd been ordering halves for me for nearly 6 months at one branch and I'd used three different branches for dumping without any questions or negative comments. Hopefully I've got my ordering banks and dump bank set up long term.

Quote: Yes! Finally. So I went to one of the usual 3 banks I go to after school and asked if they have any half dollars. They said yes! We will have 500 dollars tomorrow! I didn't even ask for them to order one. So tomorrow I hope they save he halves for me and I get to go through them. The bad thing is I only have 50 bucks. Also what if someone else ordered them? Sounds like you've either made some friends or the persistence paid off. Sure hope your luck is better than mine was this week. Since you only have $50, I'll take the other $450 worth. Maybe if you tell them you only have a small amount of money to work with and that you'll pick them up as you get the money they'll hold the rest of them for you. Went through my last three boxes for the week. Again they produced no silver, but I did get 2 proofs a '96, '04 and (10) NIFC 2002-date. In recent weeks my Brinks boxes have been coming with only one end of the roll machine crimped. Has anyone else ever seen this? Ever since they started coming like this the silver count has been way down. Kind of has me wondering if someone else is using the factory rolls to re-roll, Brinks is getting them back and just putting them in a box and resealing it? What do you all think? If this is the case they're only looking for silver, I've found a few proofs, several NIFC, (2) 1982P no "FG". If that is what's happening they're missing an occasional silver, because I found 1 piece in last weeks boxes. This all just seems strange to me since they used to come tightly crimped on both ends. I'm currently at my all time high of (9) consecutive boxes without silver. This has GOT TO STOP!

Bernie-good finds and I know the feeling of almost quitting Rcook - those rolls have been searched ... Not sure who takes the time to unroll crimped ends but it must take awhile.

did half a 1000$ bag - nothing at all. I think it is someones dump, just hoping that granny dumped a handful into the coin machine and there are a few old ones mixed in.
