While I was waiting for a haircut I went into the bank next door and asked for stuff. They gave me 47 clad Ikes and 6 rolls of halves. I scored 57 40% (including a 69S [my first]) and 6 90% (4 64's a 60D and a 54D) First time I scored silver form CWR in about a year and a half.

I've also found a couple of noteworthy coins while sorting boxes over the past few months I'll post in a day or so.

By the way nice finds everyone.

wow skyshark I would probably be discouraged too.50

Thanks, Coinsrus1000. I actually went by the bank today to make a deposit and was told by one of my regular tellers that they had $3800 in halves in the vault; $3500 was in sealed Loomis boxes and $300 was from a customer who was cashing in an estate. That immediately piqued my interest. It actually turned out to be $340 in CWR rolled halves, plus the 7 boxes of sealed halves. I only had about $1500 in the bank available to play with, so I decided to get what I could and come back to swap out for the rest as able. Sooooo...an entire day later...

My skunk streak now stands at 57 boxes and 34 loose CWR rolls. I believe I am officially throwing in the towel and switching to dimes and quarters. Best of luck to everyone else out there!

Hopefully your next quarter and/or dime box will be a jackpot.

@skyshark124

Man that sucks.

My worst streak was like 28 boxes and then 1 or 2 40%ers followed by 22 boxes followed by 1 or 2 40%ers followed by 10 or 12 boxes.

I was almost pulling for getting skunked instead of 1 or 2 40%ers after I had invested so much into the skunk streak to break it up over a piddly find

Good luck.

Carlos, what was your approximate payoff for 72 40%ers? Just cracked 4 boxes this evening and all skunks, I pulled an interesting 71D, (weight 8.6 grams) Higher pitch when dropped, it does have a couple of drill holes on the reverse, not sure what I have. I also pulled a 2009 that missed part of the reeding process. I know its not a big deal its just the first one I have found like this searching over 600,000 coins. Same with the 71D with an 8.6 weight. I will be only searching 8 boxes this week, last 4 for the week will be tomorrow. Have other plans the rest of the week. Party Time!

Arby I ended up selling them for 185.00 That was just spot at the time. I also found a 1972 that also has a higher pitch sound. Its not silver but it does feel lighter. I dont have a scale to weigh it. I will hold on to it for a bit.

Good hit Trent C.

Sorry about your luck skyshark124. I was getting discouraged at 11 consecutive silver skunks, 57 and I'd be pulling my hair out. Good luck with the dimes and quarters.

arby96 nice find on the 2009.

Plans are to make my dump run tomorrow and pick up 4 more Brinks boxes tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping my luck from last week continues into this week.

Arby, that one looks as if it might have been machined to be part of one of those magicians coins.

My best score was one Franklin, two 90% Kennedy's and three 40% Kennedy's in three rolls. This was back in September; that reignited my interest in collecting.
