You are correct Numism, it was 1862 and 1877. I typed my original post on my phone and messed up. This is no joke. I search 4 boxes each week and it's been slow lately so this was a very nice surprise. I have found Seated halves before, but nothing this old and never this many. My previous record was 2 Seated halves in my weekly 4 box search a year or so ago. Can't wait to get my boxes next week! Happy Hunting!

I stopped at the bank in the grocery store like I do twice a week last Wednesday and the teller told me that the substitute teller from another branch (which I stop at maybe once every 3 weeks and had just been to 4 days earlier) had a bag of half dollars. So on Thursday I went up there and picked up $452 in halves in a coin counter machine bag. I don't know if the bag came off of their counter or if someone wanted some halves and they had to order a bag from their currier (which I know they do because I got $450 in loose halves in a bag from that same branch before and the teller at that time said one of their customers wanted $50 in halves and they were stuck with the rest) Well inside of the bag was $72 worth of counterstamped NIFC and UNC coins that I had spent around town including at the Walmart across the street. Also in the bag was this one. I made 2 of these several months back as someone posted on time the idea of a coin community forum counterstamp or something like that. Now I will have to tag it and release it back into circulation again along with the other $72 worth.

If the 1914 barber half doesn't have a mintmarks looks like you got a like $80-$100 coin right there if not damaged etc.

2 boxes from Thursday. Box 1 had 2 40%ers, a 1964, and a proof. Box 2 had some unusual wrappers I hadn't seen before with black shadowing along the edge.
