Domain555 any knowledge on monster boxes? This one comes from West Point mint....the monster boxes I have purchased over the years all have a number in black marker on them...most are high numbers 24,568 or 26,753 and the like....this as you can see is numbered 00,049 ...a rather low number in the scheme of things wouldn't you say? Have read about the price of "first strike coins" having a much higher values...which brings us back to my question ....any knowledge on monster boxes?
Also for everybody I am finding alot of NIFC coins...so much so it's getting expensive to keep them all... Placed a couple of ads on line but no bites yet....can't sell here until 250 posts....help mr. Bill ......

I have about zero knowledge on monsters

That does sound like a very low number. Maybe it is worth more. Hope so.

Regarding selling NIFC on ebay --- the fees eat you alive.

Regarding selling here (CCF) --- your 250 count will pass fast. Is there also a 90 day (time) issue? Can't remember that for sure.

Good Luck

2 potential dream boxes that we are waiting to hear about? The suspense is brutal! Good luck! CAlfrope, that roll is ridiculous! Remember that we like pics!

all I know about monster boxes is that they have to be at least 100 pieces of silver, and I have never found one. I also know that they are very rare.

Been having trouble with my back/neck (chronic back pain) the last few days and just got around to searching the last two boxes from last week last night. Of the 10 boxes I got last week the first nine held 3 40%, 2-1967, 1-1969D and 1 90%, 1-1964, 5 proofs, 1-1976, 1-1978, 2-2004, 1986 Statue of Liberty, 1-1987D NIFC, 42- 2002-date NIFC, 1 1982 no FG, 1983 no FG.

Now lets get to the exciting part, the part everyone has been waiting for, box 10. Here's the roll by roll breakdown,

1964 1964D 1965 1966 1967 1968D 1969D

47 - - - - 1 - -
48 - - - 1 1 4 2
49 1 - - 2 - 2 2
50 - - - 1 3 1 -
Totals 2 3 5 17 65 58 25

This was my largest total pieces of silver in any box I've searched thus far with a total of 175 pieces, but only the second largest silver take of any box with 26.9515 oz of silver, Total silver for the week was 27.7568 oz. The first 30 rolls of box 10 were the rolls without silver enders. 2016 year to date silver, 34.9394 oz. $297.37 silver profit on this box and $306.87 for the week. Very nice box, only disappointment was no Walking Liberty's or Franklin's for the Dansco's. Only 2 rolls that didn't contain silver, it wasn't a matter of whether there would be silver in a roll or not, just how much. God is good!

Congrats on the totals, RCook. I'm taking a trip to Tennessee next week and am going to hit some banks on the way down. I hope I don't go through your "hunting territory."

Even if you do happen to end up in my area, it's not likely you'll find anything without it would be some of my dumps or some that I've spent in various businesses and they ended up in another local bank. I have a good relationship with my banks, they order the coins specifically for me and I always pick them up soon after they are delivered. I've checked multiple banks in this area besides the ones I order from and am lucky to find a handful of halves every few months Good luck on your road trip.

calfrope, not likely you'll sell many/any NIFC halves here. Most roll searchers here keep what they want and many of the roll searchers release them back into the wild. In just over a year of roll searching I've probably got about a $500. box full of 2002-2015 NIFC halves and I've released some of worst ones back into the wild.

Wow, RCook! I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking at at first, but I see what you did. Hopefully there's more waiting for you!

Everything was properly spaced and looked nice when I typed it, when it posted to the site it changed the spacing and made it a little bit confusing. I'm hoping there's more coming in this weeks boxes, just have to wait and see. 2-25+ oz. boxes in the past couple months, so I can't complain. I'll never understand people who have saved silver then cash it in for holiday money when they could easily sell it for near spot price or more.

That's what I want to avoid, RCook lol. I don't want to waste time wading through your dumps. But since I'm a new member it won't let me message you. Are you more on the "hilltopper" side of the state or the "british" side of the state lol?

I'm in Central TN. I've had pretty poor luck with boxes and good luck with tellers. I will give some advice and stay away from bigger city tellers. The majority know which contain silver and hoard them themselves.

Lovewiibrew, any chance you are talking about Shelbyville?

Thanks for the advice Bnmakr1. No, Shelbyville is just east of Louisville.

RC, sorry to hear of your back flare up, but glad to hear you found what I would consider the box of a lifetime!

Good luck all

Skib, your last 6 boxes are more like the boxes I get!

Better luck next box.
