4 more boxes today for 1 x 40%. a trickle is better than a skunk, but not by much. Monday is a leap day on a leap year, so my next boxes of halves will be in march. we get 1 extra day of CRH this year!

Bnmaker1, tell me about it! I hate nothing more than someone else's dumps. However, they can still miss a few. A lot of people, including tellers, don't know that 40% coins exist.

I have to disagree with accordselux to a point, Banks provide service to customers and are encouraged to get more customers. This teller should have been an advocate for this bank. Explained to the customer or potential customer that it is their banks policy is that they usually don't sell to individuals that do not have an account with them, offer to sell this one time and ask if they would like to open an account. To just say to someone I can't help you because you don't have an account is wrong. I went into a bank to break $100 bill and the teller asked if I had an account, I did not, and the teller told me no, that they could not help me. I asked for the manager and she came over to the teller and I explained to the manager my issue and she told the teller, to help me with what I needed and explained to the teller, first you meet their needs and than ask if they would like to open an account. The manager did state the only thing I could not do is cash a check without an account. I will always test an institution before I open an account, if they are the type of bank that will not assist me and meet my needs just because I am not an account holder, they will not be the type of bank that will continue to order coins for you, they are not customer friendly and consider someone like us a pain in the backside. Just my experience.

I stopped in a branch by my house for my first time in a BMO bank and asked for some halves. The teller said she could only give me $100 unless I opened an account. 2 weeks later I went back and opened an account. Had she told me no you can;t have anything if you are not a customer I would have never stepped foot in another BMO bank again in my life.

Chase used to allow transactions of up to $200 without an account but now they don't allow any transactions without one. So I just skip them when I'm out.

Also remember that every Wells Fargo and BofA are different. Different managers, different policies, different ordering routes which means different ordering rules... Also I don't know it posted but this is from my casino bag that I have another thread on!

While picking up nickels and dimes at the bank yesterday, I saw that the teller had two halves in his tray. I didn't bother with the since they were both clad and the one I could see the face of was just a 76-D.

I finally got some good boxes. Box 1 had 1 ender. 2 1964's, 4 40%ers, and an NIFC. There were some coins from January mixed in there so that is a good sign that there is fresh silver being dumped into the pool. Box 2 had a Walker, a proof, and 1 NIFC. Box 3 a couple of NIFC and a worn off sticker. Box 4 had 2 enders. 1 1964, 4 40%ers one of which looked like was silver plated , and an NIFC.

3 rolls, 1 40% and my first find of a proof, a bi-centennial clad, nice enough to put in my album.

finished up 9 more boxes found 4,40% and a 2002S silver proof the edge of it stuck out like a sore thumb. Not much this week total was 8,40% & 3,90% in 15 boxes. But it beats a total skunk.

Wow, nice finds, Jack and Trapper. A Walker in the wild! I found $11 worth of halves, with one '64.
