JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Ok so finally getting around to posting my results and pics from last weeks search.. enjoy!

From $27 in rolled and loose halves, I found a 1974-S proof.

I see some are still having pretty good luck. That's a nice variety of coins trapper. At this point I've found so many proofs roll hunting I don't get too excited about them anymore, but they are still nice to find. I haven't found enough clad commemorative coins for the excitement to have worn off, and of course the excitement never wears off finding SILVER!!

I couldn't agree more arby. Often when I have other business in town I'll drop my coins off tell them I'll be back in 1-2 hours to pick up the cash. This gives them plenty of time to run them though the counter without felling rushed. If I go back in to pick up cash from a dump and they are busy, I simply take a seat in their lobby waiting area until things slow down for them, they've thanked me numerous times for my patience and not being upset when it takes a little longer than normal. I also try to remember to thank them every week both when I pick up my coins and when making dumps. Last week my wife and I were putting money into an IRA at another bank so we'd get that credit on our 2015 taxes, $3500. of those IRA deposits were half dollars. My regular dump bank is so good about not complaining that when I have large retail purchases or deposits at other banks I unload some of that weeks dumps on the other business/bank to help them out.

Trapper once again nice score, glad to see silver still flowing around you. I still get excited with every coin that is not a normal clad coin. Slowly cutting into the roll, popping it open and seeing that rim that tells you its special. It keeps the hobby fun for me. Just typing about it gets me excited for next week.

had a nice start to the week.

8 boxes, only 1 skunk.

05 x 90% including a 63d ben.
22 x 40%

one box had 4 enders, and produced 6 silvers!! 3 are in the top pic, but its tough to see in the pic.

That took me for a little bit of a loop. saved that one for last. It was not as good as the box with no enders, which I did first, which gave up 1 ben, 2 64s, and 6 x 40%. funny how that works.

64 ender was the only 64 in the box. 2 other 40% in that one.

a very nice start to the week, hoping to have a good finish too. but I was really expecting a big turnout for that 4 ender box, I could not believe how it turned out! Not to be ungrateful, just the math of it all.
