JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Nice finds and that Magicians coin is really
an exceptional find. I do not remember seeing one on here before.

Had a little disappointment this week, the boxes I picked up today had been taped shut and you could see through the holes they weren't machine wrapped rolls which meant I got $1000. worth of someone else dumps. Apparently all the other searcher was looking for was silver since one box held about 35 NIFC and a 1982P no FG. Seems to me that when the courier picks up re-wrapped/customer wrapped coins they should go back to be re-rolled before being re-distributed to another bank. At least the other 4 boxes that I picked up yesterday held 4 pieces of silver, a 1962 Franklin, 1964, 1967, and 1968D. This was the 3rd week in row I've pulled a Franklin which is very unusual, sometimes I go a few months between Franklin's or Walking Liberty's. Not that I'm complaining, I hope it continues. 2016 year to date silver 54.1694 oz. This was the first week in the past several that I pulled my goal of 1oz./week. Still on a roll, not a week of being skunked on silver in 2016 and we're over 1/3 of the way through the year. Still shooting for the full year without a skunk week.

Welcome KFISH! Trapper see you are scoring some nice silver while I have been away. Got back yesterday from a vacation, I picked up 16 boxes today still going through them. Not looking great 10 boxes down and 6 pieces of silver. Things have truly slowed down here. Skibdib, like that magic coin set you pulled, up for a trade?. Please email me if you are interested. One of my tellers told me another teller received 300 dollars in halves the other day and they are holding them for me. She wasn't sure if they were bank rolled or customer wrapped rolls. Very excited for tomorrow. Keep posting pictures, love to see all that beautiful white metal.

RCook and Trapper, a bank I deal with in FL requested I deposit my re-rolled coins in the original courier boxes. I offered to place the unrolled coins in coin-lok bags instead, but the coin vault manager at the bank told me she wants the coins re-rolled and in the original courier boxes because the coin courier requires it. It is possible this could lead to someone else receiving the boxes of my re-rolled coins, though I hope not.

I'm sure that's possible, but this same bank has been getting halves for me for about a 1.5 years and this is the first time this has happened. I'm in a small town and know of no other coin roll searchers in town. I got a box from my another bank once that's a different courier, it had rolls that were taped closed where someone had split them with a knife looking at edges for silver. I know that bank doesn't accept rolled coins, because it's my dump bank and everything is run through their counter. They have requested I don't bring them back rolled, because they said it would just take them longer to get them counted and get me my money since they'd have to unroll them before putting them in the counter.
