My bank also uses the same wrappers as trapper. I had to quit doing halves for a month and about 3 weeks because my main dump bank wanted to charge 10% for using their coin counter.. So I decided to wait till I got out of school to find another. I ordered my half dollars and they were a red colored roll this time. They use to be the same color as trappers roll. Anyways I found 32 40% and 2 90%. Good finds trapper.

I've been kind of lazy lately about posting my finds. Been 3 weeks since I last posted them. Week before last silver finds were 1 1964, 1 1965, 2 1967 and 2 1968. Here's the killer, last week was the first week of 2016 I searched halves and came up empty on silver. I made it all the way until 2 weeks before the end of the year before having a skunk week. This week was a pretty good one with 1 1964, 1 1965, 2 1966, 4 1967, 2 1968D, and 5 1969D. Total silver finds for 2016 were 154.2337 troy oz. I made my first yearly goal of 150 oz, but came up .7663 oz short on my second goal of 155 oz. The Lord really blessed me this year and I'm hoping 2017 will be just as good or better. In the last 3 weeks I also found some proofs and at least 1 1982 no FG and 2 1974 DDO. Good luck and may everyone"s cloud have a silver lining.

8 boxes from last Friday.

Box 1 had an ender. There were 2 40%ers in that roll. That was it

Box 2 had an ender. A 1964 and a rolls worth of NIFC.

Boxes 3-7 a 1964 and a 40%er. I can't remember which box or boxes they came out of as it took me all week to get through these.

Box 8. The second from last roll I looked through had a 1943 Walker.

Trapper what a awesome year you have had, I hope it continues into the New Year, Jack you had a good year too I think as well. I hope everyone's numbers increase in 2017. May you all be blessed with many ounces of silver. If one is putting in the hard work and dedication to continue this hobby it should payoff, don't you think. Happy New Year, everyone stay safe and Healthy into the New Year.

Congrats Trapper...awesome year!! Do you rewrap these by hand, or, use a auto-machine of some kind, and, where in God's name do you RETURN all the boxes? Don't the places you buy them from get hot under the collar if backing the truck up 4x/week? (or do you have some trade secrets you care to share...hint...hint?)
I've done a few boxes...they are HEAVY, and, I tend to move slowly, (nothing better to do), and look for errors and varieties on each coin, not just hunting for silver edges.
Ever find a bank, or situation that sells rolls of halves in CLEAR sleeves? THAT would make things wayyyyy to easy, huh?

Yes I re-wrap everything by hand.
I have about 30 different branches I return the halves to. Because I live in a big metropolitan area they do not see me very often only about once a month so nobody gets upset. I take 2 to 4 boxes back at a time depending on the size of the branch. I order from larger branches that do a lot of business so ordering 8 boxes is not a problem for them.
I could order more but it gets to heavy for me. I try to keep a good amount of money in the savings with them this keeps them happy also a credit card and I use bill-pay with them.

@ trapper:

thanks for that information.. that makes sense spreading it around to 30 branches. you must have a good system in place. does it take you a lot of time driving back and forth? Also, how much can you carry at one time? they must weight 5-15 lbs a box? do you have a dolly? ever get strange looks? I have a back pack, but having a large beard and plus I look middle eastern, doesn't go well sometimes if you know what I mean. lol...

so do you have one large order from one main branch>? or a few orders with other branches? and when you return them do you do it all in one day or over multiple days? having that much money out of the bank at one time makes me and the wife a little nervous.. is that not a problem for you? sorry, for all the questions. you are a local celebrity.

Thanks Trapper..from your numbers posted, this "job" is paying better than a union foreman & benefits! Besides, the HUNT is the fun part.
Best of luck in 2017...perhaps a 7k wrong metal KHD in your cards.
