Good news/bad news, with bad news first. Bad news: spinning the coin around a vertical axis is definitely imprecise, and I was wrong about the 1995 I posted. (And the 1974 I set aside.) Good news: I actually do have a rotated die! 1971, but at precisely 30 degrees. (Had to dig around for a protractor, but who says middle school math was useless?) The rotator gizmo is sold out on their website, so I found clear plastic, used a straight edge to draw the line, then used the straight edge to split the eagle's tail to the "E" on top.

Over the last couple of months I have been running into a lot of other hunters dross spread out around the local Suburban banks. I usually take it off of the tellers hands because I travel to another area that still has a lot of coin machines. It is a hassle but I figure it is a way to do a good deed and build up a little Karma. Yesterday the Karma paid off. I stopped at a random bank while driving between job sites. $120 in rolled halves from the teller yielded 62-40%, 2-90% and a distressed Proof. I need to send that teller some flowers.....

Time for my weekly update. No monster boxes but certainly a good week with 35 pieces of silver. Silver finds included (1) 1962, (1) 1963D, (15) 1964, (12) 1964D, (3) 1965, (1) 1966 and (2) 1967 for a total of 11.337 oz. of silver. These finds helped my 2017 year to date numbers look much more respectable with a year to date total now of 13.2765 oz. I also found (1) 1974 DDO which I think was my 4th one for the year. I go this afternoon to pick up 4 more boxes and am hoping this vein hasn't ran dry since last week. As most of you know I pick up coins at two banks. All of last weeks silver came from the same bank and is the one I'll be getting 4 boxes from this afternoon.

Rcook that's awesome! It's a good week when you find significantly greater 90% than 40%. I typically average 1 90% for ever 10 40% I find.

2 boxes from yesterday.
Other than a triple clipped planchet (all 3 were very minor clips) I got skunked.

Neat! You actually found that in a roll? I can't even find a 40% half 75% of the time in a box.

Things have been pretty busy for me outside of CRH, lately. Last week I had 4 boxes of skunks. I've noticed that almost half of them have the same green marks on them, and I've never had any luck at this bank, so I'm not going to be ordering any more boxes from them. I did get an order of 6 boxes today from my bank that I've had good success with. I didn't have time to open any rolls, but I did find a 40% ender! I'll be in Mexico for a couple of weeks, so i'll have to wait until I get home to go through them. I'll be wondering if there's more silver hanging out in those boxes, though! Take care, Sauce

Nice finds to all! Picked up two boxes today: Box 1 had a nice 40% ender. Finished with 4 40% and 1 1964 JFK. Box 2 had 4 40%. Hoping for more silver with 2 more boxes to pick up tomorrow.
