Carlos and jack nice scores! None of my rolls today were ragged or looked like they had been rerolled. I had one good box that produced 22 silver and another box that had 6. My total is 28 with 27 being 40% and one 1964. Happy hunting everyone!

Man I leave for a few months and my thread now has 1.5 million hits. Keep it up! This must be why I cannot find silver anymore in halves in my area!!

Mycrob, you're correct as to the reason why silver finds are drying up!

Searched 3 boxes after a long lay off. Found 3 nice 40%.

Jack Jeckel, you're tough competition :)

Things have been dry around the area for the last 2 months.

Your 3 from 3 boxes is my average for the last 4 years.

2 recent boxes yielded a truly mind-boggling number of marked coins. Needless to say, the only coins of any interest in them were a few post-2001 pieces and a beat-to-death proof coin!

The first box consisted of all machine-wrapped rolls. It contained 238 coins marked by the same coin roll hunter; 12 of those were actually double-marked by a few secondary hunters.

The second box actually contained a mixture of machine-wrapped and customer-wrapped rolls (18 and 32, respectively). 355/360 coins in the machine-wrapped rolls were marked. The rolls looked for all the world like they were "fresh," but the fact that nearly ever coin was marked means they must have been tampered with somehow.

Interestingly, the customer-wrapped rolls in the second box appeared to have no connection to the machine-wrapped ones. None of the coins in them were marked, and they were all only lightly circulated- suggesting they were actually some kind of half dollar hoard that had been dropped off somewhere. Mixed in with this batch were 4 rolls marked as containing 2016 P and D coins. These ended up yielding 38 2016-P, 40 2016-D, and 2 2017-D half dollars.

Earendil, I have been getting those wrappers lately. The box order I had received many marked coins except I bet that it was closer to 80% of marked coins in my box. It was really frustrating. I'm still find a few marked coins but not as many

my CU swapped delivery companies, and showed up today with loomis boxes. 3 skunks out of 3 so far, will do the last one later.

March was a tough month, not even 8 ounces. My worst month in last 2 years.

Hoping my regular boxes have something today, things have really gone down hill since that amazing January I had.

Dang I am gone for 5 days and a bunch of you have hit some very nice silver, Congrats everyone! I just arrived back home after spending a week at Lake Pleasant in Arizona. So I picked up all my boxes today and just finished up searching 12 boxes, 6 of them skunks, I ended up with 14 pieces of silver , 1-64D, 1-66, 5-67, 3-68 and 4-69, several of the boxes had coins I marked last month. Its always nice to see silver finding its way into coins I have already searched. Searching 12 boxes in one day is a bit exhausting. I tell ya its super awesome to have such wonderful bank managers here that tell me its no problem how many bags I dump. I feel for everyone that banks who give them a hard time. Here its all about customer service. I am very lucky!.

12 boxes in one day? WOW! If I had gone non-stop at my normal rate (40 minutes per box), that would've been 8 hours STRAIGHT of searching and re-rolling... No wonder you were exhausted, arby96! You put in a full workday there!
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Thanks John and Jbuck, I don't think I would like to do 12 boxes a day every day. its a bit much, much better breaking it down to 4 boxes a day.

Returned to the silver mine today. Every month, early in the month, someone cashes in 10 rolls of halves. Today I ask if they had halves, teller says no, I ask no rolls in the safe? yes, says she, how many would you like? 10 please I say. She returns with a tray of 10 and says you got all I have. All customer wrapped rolls. Now the mining begins, 3 1964D, 3 1965P, 1 1967P, 2 1968D, and 2 1969D! That's 2 full OZ. of silver, from 10 rolls, from 11 coins. If only my boxes would pan out so well. Enjoy the hunt, Webekin
