Like it said on the thread I found this info on. NF String is huge and could corner the market. Certainly can dry up supply that is out there quickly. I would see CRH videos from 5 years ago when copper was 40% of boxes. I think now it is about 1/2 that. NF Strings can make them almost non existent in a year or two. I'm not sure how much Silver is in real circulation, but chances are that will be drying up as well. Only chances for copper or silver might be catching customer rolls before they get to a company like NF String. If this is profitable for NF, their competition knows it and is doing the same thing.

It's really sad after all these years that people still talk about "NF Strings." They are only the manufacturer of coin wrappers purchased by an armored car company.

They are delivered via armored car by companies like Brinks, Loomis, Gardia, etc. There is no such thing as "NF Strings" delivery company. I have seen this over and over again and it's the dumbest thing ever. |

Look at the facts here. A company owned by nf strings, operating out of the same facility. I was skeptical too. But they are selling guitar picks, Angel tokens, and septa tokens. Septa being subway or bus fare for South eastern Pennsylvania transit authority. 50 tokens at a time. How many Angel coins did you find in your day? I think I've found 2. They are selling these in lots of 50.
The only question I have is, where are the coins coming from that they are sorting? Now that td has removed it's machines.
How else can you explain the 4 pages of items they are selling? Almost all things there would be found by a coin roll hunter. Except they somehow have monstrous amounts of them. As a PA hunter, I find this troublesome.

Banks like Bank of America actually go through so much cash and coin that they rent "central" vaults at an armored car company. Most banks don't even accept rolled change anymore unless it's like a roll or 2. With BofA, they will dump all of your change into a 50 pound FED bag and ship it out for counting. The armored car company rolls all of the change either brought in from branches and/or the FED. And there you have the mystery solved!

Did you look at the ebay listing Russ ? How do you solve the mystery of that company's inventory? Somebody is extracting these items from commercial amounts of coins. |

I understand what is being said that string and sons is just a wrapper brand but I have to say I find only found like 2 40% coins in those wrappers. I have probably went through over 30 boxes. I think I only get them when brinks runs out of their own supply. I think they get the the remaining of my order from somewhere else. But that's my thought I really have no clue what is going on! I just order and hope I don't get any of those wrappers!

Russ, the link is in the first post on this page. 4 pages of items on ebay. String does sell wrappers, so plenty of companies may use the wrappers without silver necessarily being extracted. And I've found thousands of silver halves in string rolls in the past 3 years. But, the supply seemed to change this year, with reduced finds in string rolls. I'm wondering if this is somehow related. |
