just wondering.. how many CRH here use banks/CU's with a coin counting machine? There is only 1 bank in my area that has one. I don't use it as they charge 8% even if you have an account. That machine doesn't count halves. I'm stuck with re-rolling all of mine

Was driving and saw a Comerica bank that I hadn't seen before. Crossed 2 lanes of traffic and nearly destroyed my car to get to it. They had 3 Brinks rolls which looked kind of like re-rolls. The second roll had the beautiful sight of a white edge. A 1964!

Thanks jbuck. Arby - great finds on your end too! Don't know why but I've been finding plenty of clad proofs lately also.
Looking forward to what tomorrow might bring.... happy hunting!

Pan4au, I have three banks in my area that have coin machines, I dump at two of them. Its major Bull that as a customer you still have to pay 8%, they charge 3% for non customers. I have a great relationship with one of my dump banks which I also purchase from. I know that is taboo but when you live in a small town one makes due. The third bank I purchase from has a machine and I only dump there when the other two are down and that is a bit of a pain. Since so many individuals do not clean our their change before dumping it they decided to move the machine behind the counter and the tellers have to dump the coins and try to make sure no debris falls into the machine.

Been on a hot streak yesterday's finds were 1 Ben, 5 JFK 90% and 27 JFK 40%. My last 3 days hunting produced 7 W.L., 10 Bens, 7 90% JFK, 77 40% JFK and 12 Proof JFK. This won't last for long but it has been a fun few days.

Quote: No counters in my town so I reroll everything. Same (other than a credit union or two which I don't belong to)... It only took me 30 minutes to go through my box of halves yesterday AND reroll the coins... a new personal best time for me.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Cab. You are a very lucky searcher. I got a box from BoFA which was a skunk. I got the feeling that somebody figured out how to reroll in a way that tricks the bank to think that they are vault rollled. The box was not sealed. I should have just said no. However, next door was a 5/3 bank. I dont have an account, but I figured I would try. Teller had $10 loose and as he handed them over I knew it. 10 of them 40%ers. Snapped a picture as I walked to my car.

I went through another box today. I got 1 40%, 2 proofs, 10 NIFC's, a 73 with die crack and one that someone may have brazed something to it.. if so.. they were serious about making their coins.. lol The last pic is the reverse of the 1974
