Last week, 4 of the 6 below broke a 23 box skunk streak: 6 40% out of 12 boxes. This week, skunked on 4 boxes. Very slow searching the last 2 months. Arby- glad to see things are picking back up for you. Happy hunting!

Silver Eagle, you didn't do too bad, considering the box stunk. Those are still nice finds though!

Just found this thread and decided to hunt today for myself. Multiple banks talked about a guy dropping off $3000 halves every month, so my area is picked over well it seems. Multiple banks 9 Customer Rolls (5 from a bank who thought they had already been gone through) and 40 loose coins.
Results: (1) 1969 (super pumped!) (2) 2001 (2) 2002 (2) 2005 (1) 2010
However the beautiful 2010 has a black "8" mark on the back. Anyway to clean this? Thanks for the inspiration all!

It if is Sharpie or magic marker, acetone should remove it without hurting the coin.

At $3k a month, I would say that person is likely only milking the silver out and possibly running just a quick glance for anything immediately noticeably unusual. There are some nice varieties and errors that can still be found in some of those coins.

I was recently showing my 10yo daughter how to use the Cherrypicker's Guide and we came across this one in a roll:

Second Hunting run today. Found a bank that some rolls ordered for someone that didn't pick them up. No silver, but happy with some finds. - First 2 proofs 1974 and 1977. The 1974 one is pretty banged up but the "S" is clear. -1/2 Balboa Panama Coin 1973 - (5) 2001-2005 The 2nd image is a banged up coin, but I can't read the date on it? It is 1900 something, but the 3rd number is strange and hard to read. Thoughts? Thanks all.
