JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Picked these up on Friday. Whenever this bank has halves they always produce some silver.

Yellowtail that is a great haul. Nice pick up Cabowabo. I would love to find some Kennedys.

Cabo Very nice. Today me first four boxes two skunks, still pulled some very nice coins out of the other two boxes. 1-66, 3-67, 1-68 and 2-69's, 7-Clad Proofs, 1-76S, 1-78S, 1-79S, 1-90S, 1-91S, 1-96S and 1-12S. I also Pulled one of my nicest ever 1986D Clad Nation of Immigrants Commemoratives. Wishing you all the best of Luck! Looking forward to seeing your posts.

And the story goes on.

I was on my way to a doctor's appointment at the VA today. I thought what the hell; I stopped by my credit union, or what I now call my coin vault, to just check. When I last talked to the teller, she said that I had cleaned them out so I was not expecting much. I asked a different teller today for any customer rolled half dollar rolls without my initials. At first she looked at me with a look of confusion. The teller next to her said he is the guy that comes in to get half dollar rolls and she would need to go to the vault to get them. After we, me and the teller, told her what I was doing she shrugged and head back to the vault.

She popped her head out of the door to the vault and asked are you CP. I said yes and thought no joy today. A few minutes later she came back with 13 rolls. I was thinking things are looking up. She laid the rolls on the counter and a chorus of angles were singing in my head. 4 rolls had W L written on the sides, 4 rolls had K, and 1 roll had Mix, 1 roll had no writing but in the same wrapper as the others with writing, and the last 3 were rolls I turned in.

I finally got some Kennedy 4o% and 90%





So for today I scored

Kennedy 40% - 14 (1-69, 4-68, 6-67, 1-66, 2-65)
Franklin - 5
Walking Liberty - 85
Barber - 1

The rest of the coins were Kennedy's 71 and newer. I will go through them to make sure they were not in the rolls for some reason.

I am positive it was someone's coin dump. I asked the teller if they knew who deposited these. No one knew, and they could not tell me if they did.
