I hit a small bank in the middle of nowhere, TX yesterday. All the rolls the teller had were customer wrapped so I used all the cash I had on hand ($40) to buy them. They were all copper-nickel unfortunately. :(

Went through a box of 500, pulled 2 40%'s, a 90%, a religous medal, a 77s proof, as well as a misaligned die.

2 box total today:

2 more 40%er's! "I'm on a roll now!!"

At least I'm maintaining my average of 1 per box so far this week.
5 boxes- 5 keepers! (LOL)

2 more boxes to go for tomorrow and that's it till next week.

Is there anyone in here searching who is from the northeast, like central/eastern pa or baltimore? I'm deciding whether or not to try searching halves or to stick with nickels.

My box is done and it WAS AN EXCELLENT BOX ! .....

It was indeed a "mother lode".....thankfullly not a "3rd Cousin lode" ! ....

Found no Proofs
Found no pre-64 coinage
Found no Foreign coinage

But I "did" find...
2 - '64 90%ers
3 - '66 40%ers
1 - '67 40%er
3 - '68D 40%ers

This might be pretty close to the best box I've ever had !.....At least it is for a very long time !

I went through a Brinks box and came away 14 40% silver JFK. Not bad at all. I have 2 FED boxes coming in tomorrow - hopefully it will yield better results than the 1 40% found in the 2 FED boxes from last week. I'll post results on the weekend.

Eaglefoot, hopefully you hit a vein. Go back there and get some more boxes from that same bank. Do it NOW (...OK, OK, they're closed, now...do it TOMORROW!) A couple months ago, I gave up on a bank, after striking out on about 12 consecutive boxes. Nothing but marked coin in just about every other roll. Last week, I went back there, and got another box, and found my first silver, there, in like, 6 months (a nice '65), plus several NIFCs. I knew a box like that was no dump. So, I went right back, the next day, on my lunch break, and got the only other box they had. 16-40%, 1-'44, 1-'19 (date barely legible), and a couple more NIFCs. Needless to say, I've got 2 more boxes on order for next week, on the theory that, when the gravy's flowing, I want to be right there with my kisser under the faucet!

Box 1 of 3 from Wells:

- My first Benny out of a box, a '58!
- No other silver
- NIFC, was filled with it....
1 - 03P
1 - 05D
4 - 06D
6 - 06P
3 - 07D
2 - 07P
1 - 08P & D
1 - 09D
2 - 09P

Have to say this box had more 80's and 90's coins (no 87's) than any other box I have gone thru. Updates on boxes 2 and 3 later this weekend.

Went through another $500 box.

Pulled 2 proofs (86s and 91s), as well as 3 NIFC (2002D, 2003P, and 2009D)

Most of the box had marker lines on the coins, including the 86s proof blaaaaaaah. Why would someone marker a proof?!?!?!
