I'm jealous...banks around me don't carry Half Dollars...I'm relegated to the once in a blue superman in a teller having them...I take Dollars instead.
Quote: Brought home 2 boxes late Wednesday afternoon. First box had some NIFC, including a 2014S. Also found some nice '70- '90s coins, for those at the coin club that might need them. Second box have 2 1964, 3 1966, 2 1968, that's 1.5 OZ. of silver.
Awesome scores Cabo and Webekin, KK its not so much if banks carry halves, you may still be able to ask the Manager if they will order them for you. Also most bank finds are from individuals who turned in halves and don't know or care they are cashing in silver for face value half dollars. I still have 4 boxes to crack open before I post my finds Tomorrow.
Hello Everyone, Hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year! 2021. My Last two weeks of December I searched 28 boxes, 5 contained silver for a total of 10 pieces. I had three enders one silver, and two Clad Proofs. I also pulled a bunch of NIFC. Here are the numbers. 2-Franklins, 1-51S, 1-55P, possible "Bugs Bunny" Having difficulty getting a good photo. Under a 20X lighted Loop, it appears to be a possible "Bugs Bunny" we will see. 2-65, 2-66,3-67, and 1-68. NIFC, 13-04D's, 19-04P's, 2-11P's, 1-15D, 1-17D, 5-18D's, 2-Clad proofs, 1-83S, and 1-84S. The other two Ender Proofs are earmarked for my Etsy Store. It was a nice way to end the year. I will post yearly results sometime next week. Wishing you all a fantastic 2021, may it be much better than 2020. I am wishing for a MEGA BOX in 2021 and I hope you all score one too. Have a wonderful weekend and lets start the New Year With Silver.
Nice way to end the year Cabo. I thought I would post my year end totals and accumulative totals. 2020 I found 98-90%ers, and 642-40%ers, I searched 508 boxes which equals $254,000 searched, Since I started in Nov 2013. I pulled from circulation 1673-90%ers and 6093-40%ers and searched approximately 3,770 boxes. Total silver in ounces 1652.55. Not bad for a hobby. Now its a new year and this year my goal is to bust the $2,000,000 searched. I have to search 230 more boxes to reach my goal. That should be around May or June. Its going to be more difficult to break the 10,000 pieces of silver pulled when I am averaging now just over 700 a year, things have slowed a bunch from when I started, pulling 1900 pieces my first full year 2014, and the numbers have been dropping ever since. I have 4 boxes to crack open, my first of 2021. Last year It was three weeks into the year before I saw silver. I also want to thank everyone for the kind words throughout the year. It was fun sharing with you all and seeing all your wonderful silver finds. Good Luck to you all who are still searching. May your year in CRH be awesome.

We all knew it was coming, but I am really surprised the finds are still as good as they are even if the pale to the past rates.

Not bad might be a bit of an understatement!
It sounds like you measured in avoirdupois ounces. That would be about 1507.65 oz troy.
Started off new year on a good note. All the 40%s from one bank and the 3 Walkers from another.I started counting some of last years finds and from August through November I was able to accumulate 87 Walkers,66 Ben's, 143 JFK 90% and 706 JFK 40%. I think that's judt over 1000 silver coins. I think December I picked up about 90 silver. I very seriosly doubt that I can replicate this success again. I will try but I am trying to keep my expectations realistic.
Egad Cabowabo - $6k in melt. Unbelievable. MOSO239, regarding that post, I spoke to that guy via Facebook. According to him it was a random collection dump in Frisco Texas, a newer suburb outside Dallas. He was as amazed as anyone that he scored like that. It's a Youtube video.
