Woah, nice finds. I like that Irish pound coin - that must have been a neat thing to see in the roll.

It's been a little quiet for me, they last few weeks of 2022, all of my boxes were new 2022's, I search 6 boxes each week. Last week, one bank forgot to order the halves so I only two boxes to search and one box yield a Ben, a '64, and a 40% This week, I managed to get 8 boxes and found only one 40%. Thought I had a 72-D no FG but I see now where the coin was dremeled and touched up.

Fantastic finds everyone. I will start searching half dollars again starting in February. It will be nice to score silver again. I did get lucky the other day. I stopped someone at my credit union before they made a dump. I was able to talk them into selling me their silver. I picked up $1500 dollars melt value of silver for $1100. They were really happy that they gave me 40 Buffalo nickels and all their Lincoln cents as a bonus. Got a ton of half dollars both 90's and 40's. Couple rolls of silver quarters and over 310 silver dimes. There were a couple of Barber dimes in the lot too. I was very happy with the purchase.

wow, amazing, Arby, congratulations! Would be great to have a tally on the 40% and 90% and if they were Kennedy's or Bens or Walkers?

I went back to the bank that produced some silver last week. I did't have enough money to buy all the rolls that day. Went back and bought the last 4 rolls all had some silver.

Just went to the bank today and ask for half dollar.they don't have any boxes, only have a few custom wrapped rolls. I took them and found something as the picture shows. I think that's been sorted and searched by one of our fellow collectors.

Echo, you will see a ton of marked coins if you coin roll roll hunt in quantity. I see a lot of marked coins, some markings are fresh, like on a 2020-2022 coins, others are old marks from 5-10+ years ago, I can tell because they will have an actual date, often faded " 2/15/12 " or marks or initials that are very faded and appear old. Some hunters wil deface coins in a certain way with a tool which I don't like.

ALERT

They're still out there, everyone! I registered back in 2012 when I was on a half hunting kick, hence "The Silver Searcher." That said, over time I've switched to mostly cents, as they're more accessible. I still check halves when I find them, with my best find being a near-complete roll of 40% back in May.

Which brings us to yesterday. I decided to check a bank near my house on a whim. This bank rarely has halves, but I figured, why not?

Turns out they had about $100 in rolls, with some loose.

The loose coins produced this:

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

So I was excited to see what the 10 rolls (CWR!) had. The first one was all clad, some with marker on them, and so was the next one. I figured this was someone's dump, with the 1 40% being an anomaly. But this was the next one:

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

I almost fell over. The next four were even better, with only a few clad. The last three were all clad, again, so I happened to open the silver ones in a row. Curiously, the only clad with the silver were near-unc 1971s, so those rolls (modern wrappers) must have come from someone's early '70s hoard.

Final tally:

18 90% (all 1964 JFK)
64 40%

JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

Conclusion: THEY ARE STILL OUT THERE, my CCF friends and mentors.
