gsr12010, wow, that sounds interesting. So when you see rolls like that, do you still spend time searching it?

Echo, I never find full rolls of marked coins, most of the time, people that mark coins mark a few of the coins they search. Bank wrapped rolls are usually a mix of coins from multiple sources, rolls people bring to the bank, coinstar machines, etc. Since halves are often searched, there tends to be more marked coins mixed in.

When I did the $500 box a couple of weeks ago, I found a few that had been clipped with a pair of wire snips or similar.

Thanks everyone! That was a fun day of searching for sure. I'm beginning to believe that, apart from the rare, rare monster box, that the best way to find silver nowadays is to get loose halves and small amounts of mostly customer-wrapped rolls. The roll of 19 40% that I had in May and then this find all came from those.

I was buying CWRs of dimes the other day, and I noticed two rolls of halves in the teller's drawer.

One of the rolls had a 1964. I don't usually search halves, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Great finds everyone. I started searching halves again last week. Got 4 boxes and all Skunks. Silver has really slowed down here in my small town. Nothing like it was back in 2013 when I started this hobby. Perseverance will pay off and I know I will score some silver soon. Good Luck everyone.
