Quote: Only one box had a 1966 Kennedy. Its a special 1966 because its a Lamination Clamshell error. This is my second one I have pulled from circulation. Very nice!

I don't normally hunt on Saturday but I did this week. The teller had $33 in halves. $23 in an envelope and one roll. She hands everthing to me and says "their might be some valuable ones in the roll".I say thanks and leave. The envelope had no silver. The picture is what was inside the roll. Made my day.

Wow, cabowabo... what a roll! Congrats!
As for me, surprisingly, two of my banks had fresh, machine wrapped rolls of Halves... I got $100 from one branch, $250 from the other... nothing really noteworthy other than single 2005-D and 2011-D NIFCs... there were also quite a few 2018-D (12), 2021-D (22), and 2022-D (133) coins, along with a single 2022-P which finally fills that slot in my album.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I wonder if the 2023 halves will be considered circulation-strike like the 2021 and 2022 halves or if they will be issued only as NIFCs. I can't find monthly Mint production reports anymore.

When I did some halves last Wednesday, I found this minor revese Struck Through Grease. Very little design elements are visible in hand, but they are there. Other coin for comparison only. I will keep it as a fun curiosity just because of its location.

The Mint starts out making them to meet demand for collector bags, rolls, sets, and then keeps going if the Fed places an order for them.
