Last two weeks, 8 boxes overall yielded (2) 90%, (1) 40%, (1) clad proof, and (1) clad Congress Bicentennial, 1989-D uncirculated. Sort of a bucket list coin...I have only found 3 or 4 other clad commemoratives and they were proofs so this is my first uncirculated. The clad congress bicentennial I found is very nice, probably MS67. I need to find another source bank, down to one branch that will order 4 max.

Thanks, gsr12010, and congrats on that commemorative - I've only found one commemorative proof ever. I haven't ordered boxes in ages, so it's nice to find some in the wild in some CWR... my Walker was amongst a roll of mostly bicentennial coins.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Quote: Sure enough, the two 226+ gram rolls each yielded 3 40% halves... And the other roll... only 1 silver coin, but it was a 1941-S Walker! Outstanding! Cabowabo, I have to ask, where do you acquire your rolls? In the last posting, you had 15 Kennedy's and a Franklin, WOW! How many rolls?

Freespeech I get the great majority of my coins from various banks. I have had a lot of good luck in aquiring silver like this. I have some banks that when I go I am confident that if they have halves some silver will be in there. But to keep it reel sometimes I can go to several banks and get nothing at all. Sometimes it is just being in the right place at the right time. I have done boxes in the past. I just don't like dumping all of that back on the tellers. The most I will give them is $250 at a time. I would do more if I had someplace that had a machine.
