No, I'm in the Tampa area. The bank I actually bank at NEVER has anything - in 6 months they've had 3 halves and four Ike's. So I occasionally hit up a couple of others who don't require membership.

Yesterday out of two boxes:
box 1- nothing
box 2: 1 40% (1967)
1 90% (1964)
I have three more boxes to open today.

Acutually the tellers like me, and I am cool with both of the managers. I know some of the tellers anyway and they sometimes ask if I find anything good.

Explaining it to the wife is indeed the tricky part.
My plan is to stop using "our" money by selling the silver I find and bankrolling all future searches with a predetermined amount that is built simply from selling finds I made since Oct 09. Sales from that amount will go to a separate account for who knows what.....

Dumping becomes more of an issue with the kind of volume you say you do. That's, in effect, what I was trying to get at...what your "system" is for that. Good answer, don't get me wrong. At least, you didn't say, you're spending it all at McDonald's. I guess I just can't fathom, though, carrying in thousands of dollars in halves, every other day or so, and dumping them on the tellers. Sooner or later, I'd think, they'd start to resent that. I dunno...  |

My wife gets that when we have some money to spare for a few days, we'll actually come out ahead by searching halves. So she announced to our son last night that starting in June, we'll be getting a box of halves twice a month.
