nice job twangator.....my boxes haven't come in yet, but judging from the luck I've been having it won't be worth my time anyway. I noticed that the place I get from takes the bags of coins off the counter and goes in the back while the bags are still open - makes me wonder if they are getting searched before they leave the place. I've only ever found silver in 1 bag, and it was one coin.

I've had some luck years ago with string boxes but the banks I use right now don't get them ,so it's 1K bags from the branches from 1 place and brinks boxes from the other. I have only gotten skunked 2 boxes of brinks, but no big hits...usually it's 40% stuff here and there. it's a matter of lucky timing, IMO.

Took a 100 mile road trip yesterday, had plenty of branches of my own banks to visit. I asked for halves at all of them, and at almost every branch they asked me, "are you looking for silver?" I always reply, that I'm looking for everything. Turned out to be an expensive trip as I only scraped up $55 in rolls and loose. At every branch someone(s) had always been in asking before me, weekly, monthly, etc. Well, I was concentrating on dimes anyway and out of $885 in rolled I scored 4 roosies. $15 in gas and I ended up with about $8 in silva.

MDH 157:

String Boxes,(yellow and white wrappers)

Yesterday was the same thing -String Boxes and they were terrible, so it really is luck of the draw!

You have to keep focusing on "patience, persistence and perseverance"

More than once I've been ready to stop looking after you keep getting ZILCH boxes or rolls, but the URGE to open them rolls and see what's inside is too great not to keep looking! (LOL!)

Let's see if we can't add two and two together. On the one hand, you've got more and more people coming into banks and credit unions and bothering the tellers for halves. On the other hand, at one in the same time, you've got the tellers' intelligence quotients appearing to go up. Hmmm. Do you think there might be a relationship there?
