Well, I am having the dismal luck with the silver. On a brighter note I have found 1948 Large Penny from the UK (copper) and is a nice coin to look at. 1 Panamanian. 2005 - 25 pesos from the Dominican Republic. Also found about 5 each of 2003 and 2005 (both mints) in the last 2 boxes that seem to have been in circulation for a while. I am keeping them aside for a while. It's strange that they are pretty well used / circulated. Last week in a customer roll which totaled $11 was two SBA dollars. I am ahead! Peace

Well my skunk run is finnally over. After searching over 10k this month and not one silver, I scored. Got two $1k bags yesterday and went through them last night with the following results...
Bag #1 116 - 40%'s 26 - 90% Kens 6 - Bens 6 - Walkers 10 Impaired Clad S Proofs 59 NIFC - Most were 2010, first I have seen.
Bag #2 5 - 40%'s 1 - 90% Ken 1 - Ben 1 - Walker 1 Impaired Clad S Proof 3 NIFC $.95 in various loose change
Not sure if this is the end of the skunks but this kept me on my goal of 30oz per month.

AG...... ! You found more 40% & 90% Silver in those two bags than I've EVER FOUND IN TOTAL !.... I average like "one" Silver piece per box usually. You search more amounts BY FAR than "I" do, but still........ W.O.W. !I'm glad I don't live in your neck of the woods....... I'D NEVER FIND ONE ! .... At 30oz per month of Silver........ YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO OPEN UP YOUR OWN SILVER MINT SOON ! ........ "The A.G. Mint" .....

Funny thing was I had requested to stop my orders the week before at this bank because they have been so bad lately. They ordered these by mistake, which turned out to be my best bags ever. Needless to say, I told them I needed more this week. Maybe I am on to something here. I love this hobby, but dumping really takes its toll on me. I am on track to do over $100k this year, but the thought of trying to get rid of the clad makes me cringe. I have hit over 30oz each of the first three months of this year either with bags or CWR's. CWR have become no existant around here lately so orders are about the only thing left to do.

ok well..
i was skunked. but not just any other skunk.. after a weeks wait, I am handed the smaller $500 box, 25x rolls staked vertically, but they were opened. I was looking forward to the string n sons rolls. I was very displeased. I still am. I dont understand why they dont come sealed? I have one more box on order coming in on thursday. so I'm praying that they are sealed...=(

is it possible it was a box that was already on hand? my first ever box was like that, every roll had been opened already.

maybe, I was thinking it was that. but as I got home, I wondered, if I should of asked for a "sealed box". either way, I ordered one. I figured they didnt come off the truck like that?

I've heard of tellers opening boxes and checking the ends of the machine wrapped roll for silver, then replacing them with other rolls

They wouldn't come off the truck like that. I would just wait till the next one and see what that looks like. If it's suspicious too, ask the tellers what's up.
mdh157 with my boxes the tellers would never find silver on the ends! LOL, there is barely any silver ever!

Quote: I figured they didnt come off the truck like that? No they DON'T come like that! Look, SD, you say you've got your second box coming Thursday, and you're praying you get it sealed. I hope you do, too. It's hard enough finding silver in these things when they are sealed. But if it's not sealed, don't give up on these. Maybe your tellers just aren't very bright and need to be given it kindergarten-style. Then, accommodate them. "I want a fresh...and that means SEALED, UNOPENED, UNTAMPERED-WITH...box!" I'd also inform them the last one you got had been tampered with (and let us know what they tell you). And sorry for shouting, but this REALLY honks me off!

SD, I will tell you what I think is going on here. I would bet that the carrier truck is picking these up at a nearby bank where another silver searcher dropped them off, and then instead of taking them back to be processed they are just dropping them off to fulfill the order. In other words, they are being lazy. I have seen this happen around here also.
