Received my first box (in this case, $500 bag) of halves earlier today...nada. Oh well. I'm back up at college in Fairbanks, so some new territory to check out.

Last week I got four 40%ers from $250 in CWRs. Not bad.

Philinchio,

I assume you are at UAF? Spent many years up there long ago and pulled quite a bit of silver from the banks as well:). There must still be some around, plus quite a bit of gold in the local rivers! Have fun "surviving" the winter.

Walked down to the state liquor store a few weeks ago during lunch break to ask if they had any halves. The owner said he keeps the silver ones. So I said thanks and left. I decided to go down there today to see if he would sell them. He had 4 Franklins, 2 quarters('64&'44), 1 dime('62), and a '67 kennedy. He didn't know what they were worth, I told him, and we agreed on $40 for the lot. Then I went down to the bank and asked if they had any halves, no rolls but the teller had two in her drawer, 1 was a 1967. Woo hoo!

you know though 90, what I'm finding with the brinks boxes is that even when you're on a bad streak you still get a few. with my bad streaks I can go 20 boxes without seeing a single silver.

PS--what's up with the dip below 28 in silver today. a little dismayed I am.

$28 was a support for silver. It has more to fall. Probably $3-$4 more. Then it will head back up.
