The fact you have banks open on sunday is the most exciting part of your post. My marriage thanks the banking industry in grand rapids for being closed on sunday.

2 boxes and skunked for silver. I did find another 82P no FG and a 2005P with the satin finish though.

I have gone through 8 of my 10th boxes. Boxes 1-6 were total skunks. Then box 7 appeared. 9 40%ers. Very weird.

Box 8?
Skunk
We will see what box 9 and 10th are like.

Shy of 34.00 by only 15 cents! Watching the price surge these past couple of days has been awesome, here's to another 3 dollar increase!

my one box from chase:

no silver again. bout my 4th or 5th box now and only one 1967 1 month ago.

2002-P....3
2004-P....1

i did find one of my on marked coins in this batch. so I know that it would be better if I dumped them elsewhere...i buy and dump at chase branches. I bet if I dumped them at a wellsfargo or a credit union they would not come back to the chase I buy from correct?

Somehow, I managed to avoid a skunking yet again. Went through $460 in Loomis rolls and found one lonely silver - a 1964!

Greetings all,

I realized I never updated you on my silver hopes from a couple weeks back. I had found 41 silver halves at a small town banks coin machine and was hoping for similar results from two $100 bags at the bank down the street - one of which I knew would be from a dump there a week prior. Well - not the bonanza from down the road - but not a skunk either. Two 40 percenters. Hunting aside from that has bordered on futile - turning up only an additional two 40 percenters out of probably $500 or more in halves. Not a very 'halfy' region of the country it appears. Fun but frustrating. Happy hunting!

So I found:

2006 S
1971 S
1972 S

How can I tell if there is any silver in them?

look at the edge, is it silver or copper? modern proofs have a bright copper edge, you cant miss it.

Those all have copper edges. But...I did find a 1974 D that has a white edge and the color is much whiter than non-silver coins. I also did the tissue test and it is really white throuhg the tissue. Thoughts?
