Rawmeat..I agree I would prefer bags so that I don't have to rip open all of the wrappers. However, banks are not in business to cater to roll searchers and I can't think of many businesses that would require large amounts of loose coin.

It was my local bank. Only in the town I live in. I just called a branch and they ordered two bags for me. They were sealed when I got them. They told me if I ordered two bags they wouldn't charge me the shipping. Took two days to get them in. They are a lot easier to search without the rolls! I also did 4 boxes of dimes last night also and found 6 pre-64 and 2 foreign. I have had much better luck with dimes and nickels. Haven't found anything good in halves and quarters.

For some reason I've only had luck at BofA. I went back to a branch where I had previously found 2 40% and ordered 100 bucks... Well they must have been flukes...First roll marked coins...some coins (double) marked...needless to say nothing...not even a NIFC. To add insult to injury whoever searched before seems to have gone out of their way to mark the dates I was missing in my JFK collection. If I wasn't able to upgrade a few coins it would have been a total waste.
Hey dude, its good that you're marking searched coins and all but can you try marking a 71 or bicentennial? You know the ones that everybody has too much of instead of a rarer one someone might need?

well I am sure if you told them you owned a casino that might work? or that you fix up old slot machines which require half dollars.

Jarwulf...you're late to the game. Order $500 boxes and see if your outcome changes.

Casinos for the most part have no coins anymore. Just fake sounds and paper slip. Maybe some smaller places may but Atlantic City really none.

Ok very exciting!
So Friday was my birthday and today my mother-in-law gave me my gift.
It was $50 in halves! She just stopped by the bank and got what the had, just 5 rolls . To my amazement here is whAt I found: 1949-s 1953-d 1957-d 1958-d 1962-d 1963-d(2) 1964 1967(6) 1968-d
Yea!! They were surprised as I was! I kept asking if they Planted them but she assured me she didn't. I belayed her. Anyway. The $50 birthday gift turned into an over $200 gift! I will upload the pic tomorrow

Very nice SD!
Last week I searched 8 boxes and found 6 40%s. I am channeling my inner Chuckster and doing 8 again this week. Not sure how long I can keep up the pace. 8 boxes is a lot of dumping.

I figure that carrying these boxes around is a lot more exercise than I normally get, so even when there is nothing in a box, I get that. Or at least that's what I tell myself!

Not a bad string of boxes, I've narrowed my ordering down to only 2 banks that consistantly produce results.
3 Boxes 4 64's 2 Franklins, Walker, and 9 40%'s
