Never knew half dollar necklaces were all the rage. Another one of those with one side that looked like it was painted red. Whats up with that? I go through $1,000 (2 boxes) of 50 pieces of week. The ONLY thing I have ever learned was 1974 double stamp, and then silvers. Are there any I am missing or worth keeping? I never said anything about it being an NIFC. Its just that after 2000-3000 coins and oceans of 71s and bicentennials I haven't run across a 93p and only one 90p for some reason. This here now has me wondering about 3 of my finds, all are 1976. I thought the S mintmark meant that they were 40% Silver in 1976. I have pictured them below with weights. From left to Right: 1976 S, This is is PROOF like, but heavily scratched etc. 1976 S, This is looks more like a regular 40%, no mirror fields etc. 1976 , This is is very odd, it has a frosty white rim, no copper strand at all. The rims looks like a 90% rim. I dont know what to make of this one. 1976 D, This is a standard clad bicentennial half AU, just for comparison. all of these are from roll finds and I'm guessing the first 2 are in fact 40%, the third one I dont know and the 4th we all know what that is.
