I am 1 box into my 4 boxes for this week. So far, I have found 1 61' Franklin, 7 40%'s and this beauty - a 1935 Saudi Riyal. The coin is beautiful. Nice toning, great details and it is 91.7% silver. In terms of size, it is exactly the same size as a half dollar. The only issue is a black marker swipe below the date near the edge.

Nobis, way cool. Dip in acetone will take care of the marker and no harm to the coin. OK, went through our two boxes yesterday and got 12 silvers: The 66 at the end of the top row is a lot more awesome than it looks in the pic. Darn near proof. I would lay money it is a circulated SMS.

Nice finds you guys! Seeing you all pulling silver is giving me hope yet :)
2 more boxes today. Things are really looking up for me for plugging holes in my album. I did pull one lowly 1966 Kennedy from one of the boxes and that was it. The next box is where I scored big , 1 1969 Kennedy and 1987 P AND a 1987 D!
1987 is a tough year to pull, let alone both in the same box :) I now officially have pulled all 3 1987 mint marks from boxes.
I still am having no luck pulling a 1975 though. Oh well guess I have to keep looking.

Nice finds guys! I am diggin that Saudi coin, pretty neat. @ Buffalo I am amazed you managed to pull an 87 P&D from one box. Are they in MS condition? The 87 I managed to find had sadly been circulated before I could rescue it.

I found a bank today that actually had several rolls of halves in stock. I went home to get more cash, and by the time I got back, someone had already bought half of them. All the ones that were left were clad...

Ill post a couple pics soon as my camera is fixed :) I think they are MS as the rim stood out something fierce when I opened the roll.

I did several boxes of halves last summer.
The first box was a big hit: 2 '64s, 8 40%ers, '87-D, '78-S deep cameo, '82-S circulated, and '02-D circulated.
Second box: 2 '64s, 3 40%ers, and several '02-'06, mostly circulated.
Third box: no silver, but several more of the '02-06 collector coins
Fourth box: complete skunk except for the '78 P&D and '79D.
I lost enthusiasm after noticing that the final box had been searched by at least three different people with sharpies of three different colors.
And out of curiosity, beyond the obvious silver and collector-only coins, what years/mint marks do you consider keepers?
I initially set aside all post-'80 on account of the sharp drop in mintage figures, but quickly realized that constituted about 30% of the average box. So, I finally settled on anything BU with special focus on the '78 P&D, '79-D, '82 P&D, '86 P&D, and '99-D. I kept an eye out for errors, but didn't find any.

Took my welfare check to the bank and bought three $10 skunks, $3 in baby skunks plus a 68d, and the last roll had a 67, a ms64 95d, and a sandpapered F obv, au rev 73s clad.
Like getting 25% interest.

I have been reading and learning for several months. One box yielded one 40%. Teller trays were more productive. I picked up 8 40% halves that way over the last few months. A few days ago I asked a teller if they had any halves. "I have $40 in the vault" I'll take them. "Actually, we have $70. You want them all?" Sure. My best day of hunting: 4 rolls of skunk and 3 rolls of 40%.
