Buffalo, you will never find a 75 in circulation. At least you wont ever find one and know it. They made the Bicentennials in 75 and there is absolutely no way to tell one minted in 75 from one minted in 76. Same for quarters. Ikes you can tell. But they are it out of the 3 bicentennial coins. Now, if you buy the 75 mint set, thats the only way to know for sure you have a 1975 quarter or half.

pm sent wpd7. I'm curious about some things since we do the exact same things when searching and dumping.

i do not sell on CL at all.. lol

wpd7,

up here in north county, sdccu doesn't have coin counter machines.. also, have you tried ordering from sdccu? I asked my branch and they told me I can order anything as long as it coincides with their ordering schedule... but I did not ask about ordering bags or ordering ikes or halves. wondering if you had asked before and what they said

No, PT is where I dump halves. I dump my dimes rolled at SDCCU since I'm always shorted by the counting machines. No SDCCU branches have coin counters as far as I know.

So don't get dimes at SDCCU- you may get my skunks!

I want to try ordering halves from SDCCU, but haven't asked them. Every bank I've asked about ordering IKEs can't guarantee IKEs (they can only specify ordering dollar coins, not SBA, presidential, or IKEs) and may get Presidential dollars, so I don't even bother trying. $500 minimum on the dollar coins if you do order.

I have a feeling if you do try to order dollar coins, all you would get are SBAs and the gold coins.

Hey, I found a centennial made in 75!, just collect about 100 pretty nice ones, put em in tubes and you'll for sure have at least a couple minted in 75.
In one box this weekend found a 66, a 69 both in crappy shape. Last week my only decent find was a 1969 in great shape. Found a 77s last week and an 86s this week. I always find a couple of 02-10 NIFC's in every box. This week I found an 04, 06, and 09.

E = MC squared (wherein E is the Energy you devote to searching, M is your Manners toward your tellers, and C is the amount of Coins they'll end up saving for you).

My manners are impeccable and I just found competition in one of my pick up banks. She was kinda shamed when I called her on it (nicely) that she passed a shiny 1958 quarter to me. She had an envelope full of coins she culled for herself and picked that one out. Not sure why she didn't just give me the coin I pointed out. When I asked for the particular coin (in her tray) she said she was keeping it because it was the year her son was born. 1968- not likely! She was not a hair over 40!

I guess she wanted to keep her story intact!

Another ground-breaking theory is the theory of relativity. The more relatives you have at the banks the better.
