Yesterday after work I stopped by a bank and asked the teller if they have halves. She said "We do not have halves." I asked "How do you know you do not have halves if you have not checked if you have halves?" She then went away and checked and then came back and said "Like I said, we do not have halves." I said "Other banks have halves, how come your bank does not have halves?" She said "Because banks are not required to have to have halves." I said...drumroll..."In that case, have a nice day."

You can forget going into that bank in the future as well. You really shouldn't antagonize the tellers whose supposed to help you.

PT was asking me questions on my dumping. Told them the same story I had when I opened the accounts. They said they may move me to a business account if I do too many. Just FYI.

Roland- And a business account... what would be the difference? Does that mean you will get charged for a checking account or something like that? I try to only dump 1 time every 2 weeks, and I switch off on the 2 PT banks. so I see each one like once a month so I dont think it will be a problem for me... I hope.

Business accounts require $2500 in the account or direct deposit to be free. Otherwise there's a monthly service charge.

Since PT is not my main bank, that would be a hassle!

BTW I found out that their security deposit boxes are cheap! I got their largest one for $65/year.

THAT is a beautiful coin tka. You . ;) LOL Awesome find dude.

Well, I went through the two boxes today and one 1965. Its a nice one, but the ONLY one we found. Argh. We hhopped some of our usual banks. Got a box of dimes and a box of nickels. Nothing yet, but I will be taking several days on the nickels. We also grabbed some CWR dimes, 100.00 worth, and snagged a 1936 Mercury out of that.

The nickels and dimes are Brinks, so if we completely skunk on them, that would support the whole Brinks search for silver thing.

Did another 4k between last week and today. I got 3 %40, 1 Walker and some foreign.

On the last box sat the Walker ender! I thought for sure my luck was going to turn around however that was the only silver in that box. I did however get a 1971 Peso, 5 Kroner, and a 1960 2 Shilling.

I have more coming this whole week so I'm hoping for the best.

The first bag had a total of 6 90% and 84 40%. The second bag was even better, with a total of 1 90% and 354 40%, for a total of 7 90% and 440 40%!

This weekend I took my haul to my favorite coin shop, and traded the 447 keepers from the two bags for this.

Amazing. I want a couple bags now...

Very nice!
It is good you were able to get the gold coin for a little over $200.
I haven't found 100 40%'ers period, let alone at one setting!
I am glad it went your way for a change.

The tellers are supposed to help us? That's a new one. At any rate, we were having fun sparring with each other, and she knew it as well as I did. Oh, and she won that round.

PS: Just some sage advice, wpd7. You never want to take this business too seriously...

They must have missed those two while they're taking all the silver out.

Wow! Did I miss something? Where can you pick up a gold double eagle for $200?
