Amazing find, Ricardo. Just when I want to give up, I see something like that!
Today I could only find 4 or 5 rolls and a few loose coins, no silver. One of roll was still sealed from the Mint, from 2009! I guess I'll have to start getting whole boxes; I found a bank that will order them. The teller actually offered to order them; I didn't even ask.

BTW this may hopefully tease you to revealing:
"I'm beginning to think that Ricardo's theory is to string everyone along until he can hit up all the silver veins himself while we wait in suspense..."

wpd, I have talked with Ricardo. His theory is basically find places that don't "recycle" the coins you are searching. You are searching someone else's coins. Somehow he is able to find those loopholes... However I am not. lol

So hopefully this works (excuse the poor quality, the pics are from my phone since there is no other way for me to upload pics right now) My wife went through the coins with me today and she came across this coin: It sounded very strange, like plastic. But it's a 72 or 74 and not a proof or anything, so it was very odd. We messed with it for a bit and suddenly it opened up: Inside it had this design: Insides: Outsides: From googling, it looks like these are magic trick coins of some sort and that's a 500 peso coin (from before the devaluation, so it's work about half a peso now). Pretty odd find! Also found some more benjamins today too. I'm convinced this guy that is searching these is doing it electronically and can't distinguish the franklins or something. I also had one box that was completely wrapped in in-side out dollar coin wrappers -- it was a mess.

If there was some way to get stuff that isn't other people's trash, that would be the "method" that would be interesting to know. I can't even get a bank to make brinks not bring me stuff wrapped by some other guy searching coins directly!

Wrestling, thanks for the heads up- I was getting anxious to see if he'll ever open up!
Isn't that the truth- figure out a way to gt it straight from the mint vaults vs distributor vaults. =)
No way to do so here in SoCal at least as far as I know.

Today I asked in a bank if they have halves and teller next to the one who was with me said I have no halves but I have this envelope with 28 ikes , I said I want it! But the teller who was serving me said oh you have these ; no I will keep these my self , I didnt know you have it ! So I been gentle and said ok ! You can have but next time you want keep coins for your self , you must ask your friend to take it out of the tray because the coins on the tray is not her's but belongs to the bank and I as a customer have more right to keep these coins then you as her co worker ! And I continued saying take the coins right now or another customer ll want to have it and you ll have to give to him ! I got ticked because is the 3rd time this month that a teller take the coins that I have found with one of his or her co worker . I'm sure many of you my fellow members would just get nasty and would be the one who would walk away with the coins but I sm just too soft !

rawmeat, that is a cool find.
Excuse me if I am stating the obvious, but the trick with that coin would involve showing the obverse of the Kennedy and the face of the 500 peso. Then the Kennedy is put on top of the peso and quickly pressed together. Now the peso coin has disappeared. Of course there is some magician patter going on which makes the story interesting.
The best way to separate magician coins is to put them into a glass and give it a gentle shake. Bouncing around in a glass will make them come apart without damage.
Great finds by some of you this month. Keep them coming. I really enjoy hearing about the finds. This month I found 3 40% out of about $30 worth from teller trays.

I have found 4 of them now, but I cannot figure out how to open them.

Do they all open? I have an obverse 1964 Kennedy and thr rebverse is the liberty bell. It is perfectly put together and there is no evidence of 'putting' thje coin together. Maybe a small mark on the edge of thje coin but that's it. Anyone ever hear of on like this? Actually waht brought me to these boards. Thanks
