I look at the dates on my boxes, don't know why, I just picked this box up today along with another that has no date.

After the good luck we had yesterday, we searched box two today. I wouldn't say it was a complete bust. We found a 1980-S Proof & and 1987-S Proof. They both look pretty nice, just some fingerprints. We also found a 1986-S Statue of Liberty Commemorative Half Dollar. It pretty nice, but somewhat dirty.

What do you think are the values of the Proof and the Commemorative Half?

It's interesting that today (as in Friday) is the statue's 125th birthday.

Chuckster - awesome finds! Those boxes remind me of the ones I used to find about five years ago. You're on a hot streak lately.

LTmets - great finds also. That is a good amount of silver out of one box.

I searched 4 boxes and came away with 4 40% (2 boxes were skunk We'll see what this week brings. Happy searching!

Nobis, how do you dump 8 boxes of halves? My bank only allows me to dump one box or two at most per week.

My father opened a TD Bank account. He keeps the minimum $100 balance. All TD banks have the free coin counting machines if you have an account. And there is a TD bank on every corner around here. He dumps about $100 in each TD that he passes.

So I go to my TD Bank to buy rolls and they have none. Don't carry them. Off to PNC and an old branch to see what they have.
