I doubt they are worth anything at all, I just find more of these than anything else and they are always in great condition. I think this is what they are dumping in to replace the silver they have been taking out.
One of my tellers told me she heard they are all filtering out the silver coins at their depots now. Most of my rolls have been opened at one point.

Well now I understand why you're getting so many chuckster! It seems we have a trend here, that the east coasters tend to get a lot more than the west coasters and midwesterners.

3 boxes last week - a single 1968 and 3 NIFC varieties. It seems the silver is drying up.

Went out on my lunch to see if the banks on the way to Wendy's had anything good. I got a 1966 half and a very interesting 90%... a 1941 Canadian half dollar. I think it may be a "narrow".

New stamps generally catalog for double face value, figuring the dealer has to tie up face value in his inventory, and should double his money. Used stamps list for a minimum of say 15¢, figuring the labor cost of keeping track of each stamp is that much. A 3¢ stamp will list new or used for 15¢. This doesn't mean a used stamp is as valuable as a new one, but it takes just as much labor to keep track of it. A half dollar that lists for 75¢ would have a fair buying price of half that, but no one would sell them to a dealer for that. |

Because they are inconsiderate lazy jerks? I've marked thousands of rolls over the years, but the only legitimate reason to mark a coin is if it's counterfeit. |

Had a day off this week so I doubled my usual weekly order and went through 10 boxes. It was slow searching but came away with 22 40% silvers and one proof 1973 S. Skunked on two boxes, but there was silver in each of the other 8. We'll see what this week brings, happy searching to all!
