Still sticking it out, but the silver has dried up for me lately, several skunk boxes in a row lately. It was much better in 2009-2010. Switching to bank number 3 to see if I can strike a new vein. Pulled a 67 proof finish from a teller this week at least. Seeing a lot more local marks lately too, so I know the competition is getting thick.

Havent posted in a week as I had a motorcycle accident and broke my leg, so sitting at the computer for any length of time hurts. So, we have done 6 boxes this week so far. Gotta do something while I'm sitting here right? First three boxes skunks. The last 3 we found 29 40% and 4 1964s. Plus an 06 proof and an 87D. Got one more box to do today, hopefully it will continue the good stuff.

Stopped at 12 banks today and picked up $870 in rolls (three banks had my $200 max limit) and $65.50 from teller trays. I ended up with one 1967. I'm not ready to give up yet, but it's disheartening knowing I could have stayed home and watched a movie and came out ahead.

Searched $1,500 worth today. First $500 bag yielded:
1 x 90% 7 x 40% 1 x 1980 Proof 1 x BU 1989 P
The second bag was $1,000 worth and came up empty.
Not a great haul, but a least I'm finding silver. We'll see how the next lot goes next Thursday.

I went to a few different banks today. At a Capital One (there's a bunch near me!), the teller said she had $10 worth, and I thought I heard that distinct silver sound, but it also sounded like clad. I got five 40% halves (1967 x4, 1969 x1) In the same plaza was a Sandy Springs Bank where I got $100 in rolls, but no silver. Later in the day, I went to a SunTrust I had previously not been to before and got $50 in customer rolls. That was my best score of the day as I found 13 40% silver halves! 1965 x1 1967 x2 1968 x5 1969 x5 Finally I stopped at a different SunTrust bank on my way home and the teller had only $10 in halves, but I found one 1964 Kennedy!

Got my first $100.00 wirth of halves today. Here was the break down and I am not joking.
4 rolls of 1972 p&d mixed 1 roll of 1971 P's 1 roll of 1979 P's 3 rolls mixed ( nothing special) 1 roll of 1976'ers
Yes thats right full date rolls,
I am wondering if I had gotten the other $150.00 worth if they would be earlier dates. The head teller told me to call and she would let me know if she had any. She told me that an old lady in town brings them in. Hmm maybe the old lady is doing the same thing and is looking as well. I doubt it since it seems they were collected in that year and rolled up.

I picked up and searched a box today. Just 1 1969, just enough to make me want to get another. I guess yesterdays 1 in $60 customer wrapped had a little better percentage but I won't complain. Oh one other coin was a gold toned 2004. Any idea on any value on that? Thanks

So I got my second box today, and so far I found 3 40% and 1 90%, but I came across this walking liberty. 1943! The problem is that it just doesn't feel and look right. Its really shinny and smooth. Almost like it has been plated. What do you guys thing? Could it be fake, or dipped? Theres just something off about it. I took the best photos I could.

@jizer1
They felt the same to me as well when I found my first walker. Just used to the halves probably.

Had a team of two tellers put together about $20 in loose halves from their drawers for me. As I'm waiting, I see a couple of silvers in the mix. Head teller asks me if I'm looking for silver, and I say "yes I look for silver and specific years". As the other teller pushes two small stacks across the counter to me with a 64' right on top, and another a few coins below, the Head teller says "well, you won't find any silver in there". I just smiled and thanked them. Better that I keep them in the dark in my opinion. Amazing that this still happens.
