Box 7 1-40%
That's it for this week, not too bad, only a couple of skunks.

JJ650;
I don't keep running totals. I just list what I find each week from my 8 boxes.
I've been doing halfs for approx 3 years now and I'm confident the numbers are probably close to 1000 coins combined between 40% and 90%.
Good luck!

Does this count as a circulation find?
I got a call from the head ding-a-ling at the Salivation Army. Someone slipped them seven Bens and a couple 40% halves.
Ho-ho-ho!

Maybe they were meant to be like those that toss gold coins

Went through a box for the first time in a while and found nothing but a silver-plated Bicentennial half, along with a gold-plated 2007-D with a Barack Obama sticker peeled from it.
In some dollar coins, which I picked up with the box, I found a 2006-P Sacagawea. The NIFC Sackies have been popping up a lot for me lately.

Nope, my new box from the bank yielded yet another skunk to continue my skunk streak over $30,000 :(

WoW. I can't believe that you haven't found ONE silver in $30,000. Not even a 1965-1970 40%er? That seems crazy to me. Sorry to hear that. =(

Sounds like silver is trickling in for most.
Went through 4 boxes and found 8 40%, 3 proofs and 10 NIFC.
Wrestling135 - you need to take a road trip soon to break that streak. What type of boxes are they - long, flat or square?

Last I checked, halves are still money, so what's the problem? Technically yes, but have you tried to spend any of your halves? I went the the grocery store and the cashier said she wasn't sure if she could take them. I went to Wendys and the cashier had to call over a manager to verify they were real. I went to the gas station today and the cashier thought that in 1 roll I gave her $20 (instead of the $10). I had to tell her they were half dollars and I owed another $30 (and don't get me started on gas prices when I have to fill up my truck when I can't ride my motorcycle because it is 15 degrees out )

Nope, my new box from the bank yielded yet another skunk to continue my skunk streak over $30,000 :( Man, you need a new bank I had upped my seaching from 1 box a month (all I could afford and spend per month) to 3 boxes a month (used the duds to pay off my home equity line of credit and spend) to now 3 boxes a week since I now have the free money to float that amount. Luckily with the 3 boxes I mentally group theminto 1 search so if 2 boxes are skunks and 1 box is OK I can call it an OK score. Between this week and last weeks boxes I scored 4 Franklins (my first vintage finds) 2 1964's and 6 40%ers. Not as good as my very first box which was 17 40%ers and 1 1986 Statue of Liberty commemorative but if I can find a NIFC that I need or a silver I guess I am happy.
