Elimist Pillar of the Community United States 632 Posts	Posted 03/06/2009 3:56 pm Just went through two fed boxes ($1000) and four custumer wrapped rolls ($40) of halves. I ordered the two boxes and the bank already had the $40. I was excited to hear about the $40 in customer wrapped rolls because my bank never has any customers turn in halves, and you have the best chance of striking silver in customer wraps. Well, turns out it was somebodys small dump because the wrappers all had red X's marked on them. Nothing. But in the boxes I did find 5 40%'s. A 2003-D and a 2003-P (NIFC). And a very circulated 1977-S proof. Not anything amazing but at least I pulled out something. I also did find two bicentennial halves that look like they were cut out of a set. They were high grades and have some nice gold/purple toning. Very nice looking. Report this Post to the Staff

The holes are getting filled slowly. [Still need 02-D, 03 (both), 05-D, 06-D, 07 (both), and 08-D.] Report this Post to the Staff
norseman012 Valued Member United States 357 Posts	Posted 03/06/2009 8:22 pm I had to do some running around for business today and stopped by a dozon banks and got 2-Bennies and 2-90% and 8-40%. I would say it was a good day for the exception of having to seat in traffic so its still a happy dance day Hey does anyone have any kind of info on 2005 P&D Kenndy rolls like are they worth anything, their from the mint. I found one bank that had $270 in rolled halves and when I questioned him how they came to the bank he said some guy brought them in on two trips and the rest from other customers when as close as I can figure that person cashed in $200 and the other 7 rolls had 8-40% and 1-64 Kenndy. well Florida I live in jersey and their are a lot of banks around here and their bound to be a bunch of rolls laying around its all location location location. Consistency is the key for me - I go through two FED boxes per week and sometimes get a stretch of a few weeks where I find nothing. Although, going through a very good box every now and then is what keeps me searching, but boxes like that have been very hard to come by in the last two years. It is like playing the lottery, you never know, but I like the odds of coin roll searching much better! Report this Post to the Staff

Starman Valued Member United States 100 Posts	Posted 03/09/2009 4:12 pm Well, I went through a stack of 11 half dollars today (5.50$) and as soon as the teller pulled it out of the drawer I knew I hit a bullseye . Closer inspection on the way home in the car it was a very nice condition 1964 kennedy I'm not muchat grading coins so ill try to get some pictures up here and see what you guys think.
