I'm curious how many in this thread have found the scarce 1977-D KHD Obverse Doubled Die--CP# FS-101?

I've never heard of that one and can't seem to find any pictures online. Do you have a pic?

Completing my 12 boxes of Christmas...

Boxes 1-7 only 2 - 40% (one gold plated)with a mix of stickered coins including my first Barack Coin. Found it offensive to have BO's likeness on a JFK Half, just doesn't seem right.

Should I recirculate or peel off?
Rest in Peace

Thanks, enjoy

I can "process" a roll in about a minute. I uncrimp one end...push them out and sort through each one individually for silver, proof, foreign, 87s, 2002-current, rotate die, and 1974DDO. Then I slide them back into their roll and fold over the end.....lather rinse repeat. I can usually get a box done in well under an hour.

Twenty seconds to search a roll. Perforate side, peer in, edge search, place roll back in box. Never even remove a coin. And thats how I roll.

in my experience, it takes me 1:25 to go through a box plus re-wrapping....

the easiest way to open is to use a hard edge, like your desk, night stand, etc... it cracks open, WAY faster than un-wrapping.. I get free wrappers from my bank and it goes from hand to wrapper in 15 seconds...

One of my old haunts I've been going to for 5 years came through again. Someone in this small town takes rolls in every once in a while that are loaded with silver.

Ten rolls had 60 40%'s.

And the teller is super nice and calls me when she has something I might want. She says I'm doing her a favor by taking halves.

The odds that any of the companies search for silver are low. I cant see it returning enough profit for them to do so. How much man power would it take for them to search the thousands of coins they process every day? The cost of paying thoe people would exceed the profit in all likelyhood.

Greetings all, its been awhile... As for searching, I can get through a roll under a minute. I have a coin machine where I return at the bank so putting them back in the wrappter doesn't make sense. I have so many burlap sacks its crazy, take them in that way.

I did hit a couple banks with little over the last week. No halves at one bank but did get $100 worth of Ikes that sold already for $132, not a bad deal. The other bank I hit had $550 loose. Went through that and came up with 1 90% and 13 40%. By far my best luck in a long time, nothing like Chuckster. :)

Good luck all....

Searching for Bobby Silver is a lot harder when all your cash has gone into Christmas gifts. But I did catch a 1964 on my lunch today in one of 4 CR rolls.
