I have a perfect dump bank: 1) there is no fee 2) Coin Counter is fast as lightning and quite accurate 3) They are INCREDIBLY in-hospitable for people who try to order coins 4) I don't care because they are EVERYBODY'S dump bank and they recycle their halfs back into the new boxes.

Monks....shake it vigorously in a glass, a glass glass, not a plastic one.

Well, three out of the four done. With the 67 ended I was hoping for a monster box, but no such luck. Did manage 10 40% though plus some curiosities..the toner bicentenial is awesome and the toner 69 looks better in hand than I can photograph. And one well worn coin, you just dont see one like this often....enjoy and good luck til next week.

Did 2 boxes last night....... 3 NIFC, 1 - 40% and a 2010 S proof. I think I need to try a new bank that doesn't use Brinks. A lot of these coins are marked.

My last 2 boxes were skunks. This new bank started off incredibly well. The Vault Teller told me the courier asked if I was coin roll searching. Makes me wonder if he's purposely trying to give me bad boxes now that he knows. My last box was completely marked up coins and didn't even have NIFC's. I'll keep pushing through my two boxes a week. Maybe get another bank in to the fold.

I swung by a couple of banks today. Nothing good, but I did make a deal with a teller.

I went to her branch a week ago, and she asked where I'd been. It's a bit out of the way, and I hadn't been there in a couple months. Apparently, she had over $100 worth of halves saved up for me. She waited several weeks before selling them to someone else...

She's the commercial teller, and so she gets a lot of coins. I told her I'll try to come by more often, and gave her my phone number. Hopefully, next time she has halves, she'll call me up...

I stopped by a few branches of my bank early this week and gave the assistant managers my business card and told them I use half dollars as a promotional tool for work and asked them to save all the loose half for me. I got a call today from one of the managers and she was all excited because she had $14 worth she had saved for me. I went in and knew right away that they were all clad and no silver but I bought them all the same and thanked her over and over. I believe a little goodwill will pay off big down the road.

It seems like everybody is barely finding enough to pay for gas even. Looks like silver has really dried up.
