Yes! It's fairly common for the 80% silver layers to completely overlap the 20%-silver inner core. Such coins will have a uniform whitish edge and can look like a solid silver piece.

I know there are some 90% coins dated 1965; these are rare and valuable "wrong metal" planchet errors. I've never heard of any examples from later years. The weight test will tell you whether you have a normal silver-clad or a potential major find.

I think maybe alot more people know about it now.

Even me, I just found out about it maybe a month ago,
and every time I go to the bank now, they say someone
was already there for the halves. The banks seem
less and less interested in ordering them.

Everything in this country has changed. Banks used to
be fairly friendly places. Now they are just extensions
of corporate giants, and everyone that works at the bank
feels like to me is just a worker bee obeying orders from their
higher ups.

I have more boxes coming on their way, then I'm switching to 2 boxes
once a week rather than twice a week.

The Mint started to "RE-MAKE" 90% Silver JFK'S beginning in 1992. Feel better now?

Went through 8 boxes yesterday
found 4, 90%, one was a Benjamin
7, 40%
1, proof
Also found another Panamanian half Balboa
my second one.
