I agree the silver is slim compared to two years ago. Maybe some of you searchers should start looking through the gold dollars for the real gold ones instead, there is a lot more money in that you know...

That might free up some silver for the rest of us.

skunked, all I ever get is marked rolls

i got 7 boxes last week, 3 of which were already searched. I know because all three had been marked with numbers that I had written on the sides two weeks prior and were re-sealed. I mark them so I know which bank I dumped them at in case this happens.
i had the bank manager hold them for the next delivery and he talked to the guys from Loomis and I have received all new boxes since. every one of them had at least 1 silver or more in them.
it might not always work out this way but if you have a good relationship with your bank manager, they will do what they can to help you out.
I also use this app (coinmanage 2011) to track where the good boxes come from and where I get the re-sealed boxes.

The boxes I've been searching have had a lot of marked coins. Even roll searchers initials and dates marked on the coins from last month. Still found 24 silver, 4 proofs, and over 50 NIFC. I throw all NIFC back.

Not Intended For Circulation. Basically, they are coins that are only available directly from the mint either in rolls, bags, or mint sets.

There is nothing inherently different about them. They aren't produced differently like proof or SMS (special mint set) coins are. They just aren't released to banks in the same way that circulating coins are.
